I heard from the news that it will officially close on July 1, 2024. So I wanted to try and experience the hospitality of this hotel before it's gone. So I book the entry level room and I didn't expect much of their service to be a top notch considering that the staffs may no longer be at their best because of the hotel's closure and the issue with some of their labor union. Having these issues aside. I'd say that the room itself was super dated and badly needs renovation. The room did not smell good, I was still expecting it to be a 5-star considering the hotel price is almost $300 or Php15000. The room amenities were average, nothing spectacular. The shower area has molds. and the door of the shower area is not sealed when closed leaving the bathroom flooded when showering. The bed I requested was king size bed but they gave me 2 twin beds that were put together in the middle, the crease in the middle made my sleep uncomfortable. The in-room dining was fine but as overly priced. The serving was good but the quality of the dishes were not worth the price. The staff who served my order looked sad which I understand -sorry I did not think of giving you tip :( The breakfast buffet was at 6:30 and I though I heard the receptionist say 6:00 but it was fine. I did not enjoy the service because everything is manned and you don't have the liberty to get as much food as you can. Some servers of some stations were not approachable maybe because they will be jobless soon that's why the are acting that way but hey, it should not be an excuse, this is a 5 star hotel so I expect to get my money's worth. Overall, I did not have a good experience in this hotel, maybe because it's closing and a lot will lose their jobs. If I were here on a different time I may have enjoyed it but yeah I think I just wasted my money booking this hotel. Hopefully in the future, if they will reopen, I can get to experience what most people are hyping about.
