Mik2341 Friends getaway - TripAdvisor review

This was a spur of the moment booking for a birthday celebration. It’s been ages since we last explored Cubao so we decided to try this hotel. We got a superior king room for about P10,900+ for 3 adults. Pros: The staff were attentive during check in so it was quick and easy. The location was exceptional since you’ll find yourself at the heart of Cubao. There’s so much to do since there are different malls around. Our stay came with free breakfast buffet. The hotel had a wide spread so you’ll be spoiled with options. I didn’t get to try everything. Tastes of those that I did eat were okay. Cons: I sent an email requesting for a small token for my companion celebrating her birthday. The hotel acknowledged and responded. I even reminded them during check in, but unfortunately, we did not get anything. It’s not the free stuff but more of making the celebrant feel special. They failed this part. The room we booked had everything you need but since we booked for 3, we expected 3 of everything (slippers, toothbrush, etc) but we only got 2. For a 4-star hotel, I would’ve expected them to be more attentive. Check out was not so good as well. Only 2 counters were open and the other staff were just walking around. If they see a line of people, they could’ve assisted. I found out by myself that there was a key drop for faster check out - staff could’ve pointed this out. I love to try different hotels so I’ve stayed at other 4 and 5 star, even 3. So comparing this hotel to others, I expected more. I guess the selling point really is the location. Would still recommend for the location but would probably also check other hotels nearby before deciding.

The hotel is centrally located with many shopping malls and restaurants. The rooms are huge and exceptionally clean, the beds are comfortable. Services were excellent from the reception to housekeeping and restaurant staff. We were all women and felt very secure in our 4 nights stay. The hotel manager Darwin made our stay a wonderful experience. Novotel Manila Araneta Center is well worth the money we paid for.
