I am in Manila from time to time for business. While I enjoy to collaborate with my teams there, I am not a super big fan of the city itself. The Admiral hotel is a little oasis in this city to enjoy yourself outside of working hours. The design style makes you feel home outside of the hectic on the street. Staff is super friendly and helpful and the roof top terrace with the pool and bar is just a little hidden paradise. Thank you for having me as guest.

Although there were some kind and courteous employees, especially among the restaurant staff, my overall stay was extremely disappointing. I booked this hotel through Hotelux; however, some of the advertised benefits were not honored. I was unable to receive either early check-in or late check-out, even though these were listed as benefits. Although they were subject to availability, this made those benefits feel effectively meaningless. There was also no room upgrade provided. At check-in, information about breakfast location and time, as well as restaurant details, was explained only verbally. There was no written information provided, which would have been very helpful. Additionally, the in-room TV information did not display restaurant hours or details, making it inconvenient for guests. The most unacceptable issue was with the TWG tea in the room. I was looking forward to enjoying it, but none of the four TWG tea cans contained any tea bags at all. When I reported this during housekeeping, the next day the cans were filled with tea leaves from a different, non-TWG brand, which is completely unacceptable. The electric kettle had a very strong odor and was unusable. On the second day, my room was not cleaned at all. I left used towels outside the door; they were collected, but no fresh towels were provided. I called to request replacements, but even after calling twice, nothing arrived. Towels were only delivered after the third phone call. Breakfast offered very limited variety, and unfortunately the vegetables and fruits were not fresh, which was disappointing. This may be a general characteristic of Manila, but it was still a letdown. Regarding the packed breakfast on the final day, despite requesting it in advance by email, I was repeatedly asked to confirm it again at the front desk and over the phone. I had to confirm the same request multiple times, which caused unnecessary stress. Given all these issues, I cannot recommend this hotel and would suggest choosing another property.

While I am glad to hear that some of our team members—particularly in the restaurant—left a positive impression, I am truly sorry that the overall experience fell far below your expectations and our usual standards. Please accept our sincere apologies for the challenges you encountered, especially regarding the Hotelux benefits. Although early check-in, late check-out, and room upgrades are subject to availability, we understand how disappointing it must have been when these were not fulfilled, and we regret that this affected the value of your booking. We also appreciate your comments on the lack of written and readily accessible information about our breakfast and restaurant offerings. Your feedback highlights an important opportunity for us to improve the clarity and convenience of our guest communication, both at check-in and through in-room information channels. The issue with the TWG tea selection and the condition of the electric kettle is particularly concerning, and certainly not reflective of the quality we strive to provide. We are investigating this matter with our Housekeeping team to ensure proper amenities are consistently prepared and replenished. It is equally inconvenient to learn that your room was not serviced on the second day and that towel replacements required multiple follow-ups. This is not acceptable, and we are addressing this with the team to prevent any recurrence. Regarding breakfast quality and variety, we appreciate your feedback and will review this with our Culinary team to ensure fresher selections and a more satisfying start to the day. Lastly, we apologize for the inconvenience caused by the repeated confirmation of your packed breakfast request. This should have been handled smoothly and efficiently, and we will reinforce process alignment within the team to avoid unnecessary guest stress. Your comments are extremely valuable to us, and we are committed to using them to improve our service delivery. Although we regret that we did not earn your recommendation this time, we hope you may consider giving us another opportunity to provide you with a far better experience in the future. We had a blast celebrating my daughter’s 18th birthday at Rubygodown. The speakeasy was a perfect venue for the party that lasted til midnight. The food was great! The cocktails were spot on. The DJ played multi generational party music that pleased everyone. After the party we had a good night’s sleep in the comfortable and well appointed rooms. The breakfast at the club lounge did not disappoint with its wide selection of Filipino, western and chinese food. After a hearty breakfast we had fun burning calories by swimming at the pool in the top floor! It was a great stay for our family!

All was excellent from room, amenities, restaurants/buffet, etc. Just need to improve the check in and check out process. Long lines, limited counters, long wait. Feels like an unorganized process for queueing and need to wait for long.
