Not warned in advance about extensive building works. Not able to change booking so forced to stay. My menu QR code wouldn’t work so I had to go downstairs to order food. Out of three room service meals one was delivered cold and had to be sent back and one was undercooked (chicken) and therefore not edible. Wall sockets didn’t work on one wall so I couldn’t use the desk as I needed to. Breakfast food was not great. Only good experience I had was service on second night from the restaurant manager who took my order, was very helpful and the burger was good. But I won’t stay with you again and I know others attending the same conference were also unhappy.

Great stay, check in was different with the self serve kiosk, however this was well manned by a team member and a lot easier and quicker than I thought it would be. Room was clean and comfortable, even though the restaurant was under refurbishment the temporary one was more than adequate. Check out was also quick and easy

The room was lovely with a giant window looking over the park. Thank you for the lovely birthday card and cupcake it was an absolute delight! The hotel is close to the art district and there are lots of place to eat near by. The renovations are a pain and the entrance of the hotel was a bit of a let down. There are no sits for the oldies and the room at reception is restricted and it really needs chairs or a clear place to stand or sit. The self check out are a terrible idea and the entire digital aspect of it only lets your young staff be even more so antisocial. The boys were nice but the girls could have been a little nicer. It's basically 'get in and get out get your bags and go thanks bye'. The snacks in the room had no price and that was annoying - on your website it was unclear as well. The texting was great with the front desk. The pool was nice and the overall hygiene was spot on. Overall a great hotel to stay when the renovations will be done.

The room at Novotel South Bank was lovely, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Thank you for the complimentary macarons; however, as this was a special occasion our 35th Wedding Anniversary and members, we had expected something a little more memorable, so the gesture fell short of our expectations.

This hotel is the process of renovation but continue to accept customers for conference. It is unsafe, uneven floor, risk of fall, electrician was hodling heavy objects on the top while customers were walking out of the only lift. Extremely unhelpful front desk staff.

This hotel is undergoing a major renovation with construction work throughout the foyer and restaurant areas. No staff member commented even once on the major construction work leading to matting all over the floor, a single lift operating on some days, temporary areas used for dining and work people walking around pretty much yelling at each other over equipment noise. The construction was unpleasant and unfortunately even basic service was lacking. I needed to call twice and then directly ask the cleaner in the hallway to receive extra coathangers (which arrived around 4 hours after first request). The front desk staff did assist me efficiently with some printing I required, which was helpful, but some recognition and even an apology for the construction would have shown at least a small amount of customer service.

The hotel was average- when paying this much money for a room, I would have expected a human checking me in (rather than self check in). Also not having a coffee machine in the room is terrible.

Very disappointed that there was no communication around the ongoing construction prior to our arrival. We had a room on level 1 and there was ongoing noise throughout the day starting from around 7 am in the morning. On the last day we woke up to loud music since a construction worker was working on the terrasse directly in front of our room. Which also meant that we didn't feel comfortable opening the block out curtains for the remainder of the day.

Spent 5 nights here whilst hotel under construction. Charged full amount but not given the full hotel experience. No real bar at the evening - breakfast room was used and felt like an experience at a local TAB. Check in experience felt budget with a self service kiosk. Not the usual hospitality I would expect from a Accor hotel.

I recently stayed at the Novotel Brisbane for a conference at the Brisbane convention centre and did not have a good experience. The constant building works, jack hammers, access issues and lack of proper dining areas made this a less than enjoyable experience. The hotel tried to make up for it with free donuts, fruit and water but when you’re trying to work on business plans in your room or get a good nights sleep it’s of little compensation. I think prior notice of the building works and clear communication af check-in were missed opportunities. Given the significant disruptions to a quiet stay, room access and catering some sort of compensation should have been provided.

Rooms are beautiful and modern. Renovations in lobby made reception not overly welcoming, but that’s understandable in a transition phase. Staff was amazing. My only request would be complete block out blinds…there’s a big gap that is impossible to fix.
