Much better experience this time with check in. Managed to use the pool, which was nice but would have been great if there was a spa! Club access with our Prestige Suite was great. Nice variety of afternoon tea and canapes, friendly attentive staff. Room service was prompt but chips were cold and salad had no dressing. Breakfast was average, my husband found a hair in the mushrooms so put us off. The little treats, wine and card left for us for our anniversary was a lovely and much appreciated touch.

We had a wonderful stay. The hotel was well located and all the staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. The room was very comfortable and the buffet breakfast was amazing! Having the carpark within a short walking distance from the hotel made it super easy for us to come and go daily without any issues. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Adelaide. Dear Sofitel Management Team, I am writing to share some concerns regarding our recent stay at your hotel on the night of our wedding, 3 October 2026. Our wedding planner, Mallory from Sunnybrae Estate, arranged our accommodation on our behalf a. provided us with a selection of 3 pricing options. We chose the middle option at $500, with the understanding that the accommodation was for our wedding night. Given that the booking was coordinated through our wedding planner a. the hotel was aware that we were a newlywed couple, we had expected the room to be appropriately arranged for our special occasion. Unfortunately, upon arriving at our room, we discovered that we had been allocated two separate beds. As you can imagine, this was disappointing, particularly given the significance of the occasion. We contacted reception to see whether the room could be changed, but were advised that no other rooms were available that evening. I understand that room availability can sometimes be limited. However, I was disappointed that a room with separate beds had been allocated to us for our wedding night, especially when the hotel was aware of the purpose of our stay. We had hoped for a more thoughtful a. appropriate arrangement for such a special occasion. I would also like to raise a concern regarding our checkout experience. As part of our package, a late checkout of 1 pm was included. When we arrived at the hotel on the evening of our wedding, the concierge confirmed with us that we were entitled to the 1 pm late checkout. We therefore understood that this arrangement had been noted a. confirmed. However, the following morning, we received a call from the concierge at approximately 11 am asking when we would be leaving. We then received a second call at approximately 12 pm asking the same question. Given that our late checkout had been confirmed upon arrival, these calls were unexpected a. left us feeling rushed on the morning after our wedding. We had hoped to enjoy a relaxed morning together after such a significant a. busy day, without being contacted repeatedly about our departure time when we were entitled to remain in the room until 1 pm. Overall, these experiences were disappointing, as we had chosen to stay at Sofitel for such an important occasion a. had hoped for a more comfortable a. seamless experience. Our wedding night was a once-in-a-lifetime occasion, a. we had expected the accommodation experience to reflect the significance of the day. I appreciate that things do not always go to plan, but I feel that both the room allocation a. the repeated checkout calls fell short of the experience we had anticipated. In light of these concerns, I would appreciate it if the hotel could review our stay a. consider a refund or other form of compensation to acknowledge the inconvenience a. disappointment we experienced. Accommodation was great. I love the turn down service. The dining experience was a let down. I think they forgot about our meals as it was a very long wait.

Comfortable size rooms with a great view of the city skyline. Prompt delivery of room service orders. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud. Just need a couple more hooks for hanging towels or clothing/bathers in the bathroom. Otherwise, a very enjoyable stay!

We had a good time at Sofitel, but a few bumps would keep my from giving a 10/10 review or be keen to come back next time we're celebrating something. We originally booked our stay to celebrate my wife's birthday. First of all before our stay, the communication with the hotel staff to arrange some amenities as birthday surprises for my wife was patchy to say the least, with emails replies coming 3 days after, payment emails without links. In the end I decided to cancel any amenities as it was too late to arrange some items, other items were not available and also the staff happened to call at a point when my wife was present, which sort of defeats the purpose of a surprise (although this is no fault of their own, it's just bad luck). We were welcomed to the room with a few macarons and a birthday message, which was nice (I don't know if this was a way to make up for the inconvenience or just standard). When we arrived at the hotel, the check in was unsatisfactory. We did not feel exactly welcomed by the staff who performed our check in, passing more the vibe that we were taking his time and should finish fast. The TV in our room was not working (frozen on the welcome screen, we just turned it off). Minor inconvenience we chose not to chase, felt it wasn't worth chasing troubleshooting for the time we were staying there. Our dinner at the Garçon Bleu was great as always (we'd been there before) and the staff was also friendly. However, upon arrival we were left standing for about 10 minutes until the maitre d' showed up, and we were briefly put to sit at the bar before being taken to our table (we had a booking of course, but apparently the venue had been overbooked). The breakfast was amazing and the staff there that morning (both welcoming and waiting) were great. Overall we had a good time, just for a stay we expected so much from, these little things (one or the other of which wouldn't been too bad) piling up are probably enough for us to say "maybe we'll try another place next time we're celebrating something" rather than "we're definitely staying here again next time".

The location of the hotel is nondescript, except there is a party street not far way ( noise). There was nothing exclusive or saying luxury in that location, not even a grand drive way into the property. As the doors open you think you are in cafe as the reception is tucked away to the right. The room was fine except the creaking noises from the ducting in the bathroom when windy outside. This is rather alarming at first. Breakfast was a big letdown as there was no egg menu and the bread selection was so minimal and cumbersome to slice one of the loaves.Smaller sizes of plates ran out,service cutlery that was dirty was not changed. Don't expect anything more than bought in juices. Overall the quality was not up to the standard of a Sofitel branded hotel. The pool area, I recall and if correct,has just 3 large chairs/lounges to sit on, goodness knows why not get smaller sized ones and aim for 5 at least. On Saturday there typically would be a lot of users. I did approach the hotel via email after I cut my stay short, however it took 3 attempts to get a reply. Once again, this level of service to respond was not up to the levels that the hotel wants people to believe.The only offer was that if I returned then the room would be upgraded. This just made me confirm that the they were not taking the matter even a little bit seriously. I pointed out that as a platinum club member I couldnt remember when I was not upgraded for that reason.

Wonderful staff helped with late check in fantastic highly recommend

No bidet, thin toilet paper, awkward entry after hours unable to enter through front door, overcharged for breakfast, item ordered for room service unavailable when ordering at 11am, otherwise room and bed was comfortable outside the bathtub being in an awkward position when doors close.

A. very comfortable venue with staff that always make us feel so welcome and valued.

Staff at the hotel from the moment we arrived were helpful and friendly. This was the case throughout our stay .

Loved the room. Spacious and comfortable. Great bed. Bathroom very nice. Only two small issues. The shampoo and soap containers in the shower were empty, which I didn’t discover till I was in the shower. And the bedding, consisting of a doona was far too warm for me and there was no alternative bed cover, so it was either cook or freeze for most of the night.
