The room was lovely - actually quite well appointed, though the TV i found wasnt big enough for the room - to be able to see clearly from rest state in bed. i did struggle with locating some of the light switches, but settled in ok. Unfortunately my check in experience was WELL BELOW par - and the only thing which took the rating from a potential 10. The female at the front counter - had no more than a scawl on her face, basically threw the paperwork at me, and when asked questions, i was met with a look of total disgust. Someone like this, as the FIRST time staying at your hotel, on a corporate visit, really makes me think twice before returning - as well as the feedback provided to the wider organisation i am booking with.

From arrival to checking out all the staff we had dealings with were all very professional, polite, friendly & helpful 😉 The room (605) exceeded our expectations,very clean,tidy, spacious & great views from the balcony. Breakfast was exceptional & the variation from cereals, cold meats, cheeses, fruits, cooked breakfast food to the pastries, coffee & juices is probably one of the best I've experienced in my many years of travel. Parking even though I was initially concerned, was just a hop, skip & jump away across the street. Added cost per day is something I'm not used too, but noticed a trend that this is happening a lot with inner city hotels around the world as parking space is limited. We will be returning to Adelaide in the near future & will return to your establishment. Thank you from us both. Bel & Neil. Welcomed but not listened to…. I tried to explain upon checking in to the clerk that I had booked in my name on my credit card as we had been travelling overseas at the time when we booked and we didn’t have my husbands credit card at the time. I told her I need to change the booking to my husbands name/credit card but the clerk insisted it will be ok. I asked several times to change the booking to my husbands name etc. especially as both of our friends got upgraded and are gold members I knew my husband was of same class but I was told i had to sign up as the booking was in my name. I was so embarrassed I went along with the room allocated as I didn’t want to cause an issue in front of my friends especially when I found out my friends had both got superior rooms and both were upgraded. When my husband arrived and we both went to the counter and got attend to by the same clerk, I approached the counter and the clerk that was so friendly earlier made a remark and the said I was standing too close to her and asked me to step back - was acting really weird…. I explained everything again and showed my husbands status and was told that the booking couldn’t be changed as we had apparently not booked through the right company. I don’t like to complain but the clerks whole attitude and demeanour was so upsetting I felt unheard and insupported and being a person of kind nature I retreated. Sorry I have to leave a bad review as everything about the hotel was perfect I was just made to feel very much disrespected and unworthy.

The second time we have stayed here and it didn’t disappoint. Lovely large room with adjoining living area so you can close bedroom doors for extra quiet. Staff were most efficient and very friendly. The wine bar waiter Ian was also very friendly and helpful. Walking distance to City centre and art gallery and less than five from the Centrsl Market. Looking forward to our third visit next time.
