The staff are professional, and friendly, nothing is too much trouble . Changing my room to one with a shower recess instead of climbing over the side of the bath, was done so quickly and with great ease. The bar staff are friendly and professional.

Reece and the team really made our recent conference trip to Adelaide seamless. From helping us secure sensitive cargo before we arrived, to ensuring our team's arrival and logistics were completely stress-free, The Playford's incredible rooms and facilities were only a supporting actor. We had a great stay. We were greeted at check in promptly and with a smile. The room was stylish and comfortable and well appointed. The only down side was that the plumbing was loud, where the next room when they were using the tap, shower or toilet we could hear the water running very loudly.

Very much appreciated the room upgrade and Reece's kindness. Some confusion at checkout over the incidentals bill, which took some time to make right. The breakfast area remains the low point, as it is simply not well designed. The breakfast itself though is great.

The experience was not the best. Firstly we didn’t get the room we asked for. They said they will upgrade it but the room we got felt like a downgrade. Also the reception took ages to do the confirmation. They felt confused they didn’t know what to do. The room we got was with stairs which was frustrating to go all the way down for bathroom. The wifi and Smart TV were just horrible. The system was so much laggy. It took ages to connect to Wi-Fi. And I was never able to cast from streaming platforms as it kept saying no devices found. Even after following all the instructions. The cupboard had a broken drawer. Everything in the mini bar required additional charges which didn’t make any sense even after paying more than $250 for one night. The Air-con was a whole story in itself. Even after putting it on it kept going off after time and time.

We arrived in Adelaide, at the Overland train terminal, at 6.00pm and took a taxi to the Playford Hotel. Upon arrival, we confirmed our check in, which I had previously booked online. We took the lift up to our room on the fourth floor. The room was a reasonable size and clean, with two Queen size beds. We did not eat in the hotel, as the cost for four breakfasts' alone would have cost us $168/day. The room was cleaned and serviced daily, when we arrived, there was four bottles of water given, as we were a party of four. The following morning the water was reduced to two bottles. I asked the maids, who were servicing the nearby rooms, if they could leave four bottles, but on our return, there was only two. I rang room service and explained about the deficiency, and they sent up four bottles. We booked an early morning call, for Thursday morning, as well as a taxi to the train terminal. We checked out and when we were in the taxi, the driver said, "Adelaide Airport". When I told him no, that we were going to the train terminal in Keswick, for the Overland, He questioned me about the hotel room number and the name the room was booked under, as he had been told we were going to the Airport.

Myself, my husband and our 5 year old daughter stayed for 1 night, we are local to Adelaide and had the most wonderful experience. We had a wonderful two-night stay at The Playford Adelaide and couldn’t have asked for a better start to our holiday. We stayed in the North Terrace Loft Suite, and the room was absolutely magnificent. The split-level design made the suite feel incredibly spacious and special, and the beautiful furnishings and luxurious amenities really elevated the whole experience. It felt like a genuine treat from the moment we arrived. The staff were equally impressive, professional, welcoming and genuinely friendly throughout our stay. Everything felt polished without ever feeling impersonal. We absolutely loved our time at The Playford and would happily stay again. The North Terrace Loft Suite in particular was a highlight and made our first couple of nights in Adelaide feel very special. Highly recommend!
