Good location, OK room. In need of an upgrade- Old lumpy pillows, tiny rough towels. Hotel overall very stingy… breakfast overpriced and very average- so small… most items looked like they were running out (eggs, bacon) or not fresh (ie- fruit). Average machine coffee (or ‘barista’ for a fee but it looked & tasted the same) Breakfast should be free or a lot cheaper. Crappy dodgy car park charged at $30/ day also an absolute rip. Was an OK stay but definitely not living up to the 5 star label. Just don’t feel special or ‘looked after’.

We received a very welcome upgrade. Having just come off The Ghan, the spacious room with a bath was heavenly! Staff were very accommodating and professional.

This was our second stay at this beautiful hotel and it has trumped our first stay if that was even possible. The staff remembered us and treated us like valued family members, and looked after us incredibly well. Being an Accor plus / Explorer member the perks are well worth the membership, being upgraded to the most beautiful suite and the birthday treats were the icing on the cake. Huge shout out to some of the amazing staff who gave us top quality service: Bella at reception, unbeatable in ensuring we were well catered for. Paige at the Bar who is a star in her role and a delight to chat with. Restaurant and service staff Elena, Catherine, We and Sheldon who all combined gave us the utmost care in serving us for meals and ensuring we were never needing to wait, and the way they treated us just as though we were family really blessed us. Sheldon is such an asset to the team, he is the best of the best. We absolutely love the Playford, it is a standout hotel experience, a beautiful gym, pool, spa and sauna, 5 star facilities, the cleanest rooms we have ever been in and the best staff ever. Our policy is if you are nice with people, they will be nice with you, it really works. We can't wait for our next stay. Thank you to all the team at the Playford.
