Staff very friendly and helpful ( especially Grant ) , room was clean and well appointed given covid requirements. Breakfast was great - we had a picnic in our room. Food was good and plentiful. Overall our stay was great and we would be happy to stay there again.

All staff contact was brilliant; everyone was most helpful at all times. The only down-side was the dreadful musty smell in the carpeted hallways of the hotel. I realise the age of the hotel & therefore the narrow hallways, but, surely that odour could be dealt with! And, having a wooden bathroom door opening inward towards a glass shower-screen made for difficult & careful manoeuvring each time you entered the room. Why wouldn’t a sliding-door be looked at as a safer alternative?

The whole place needs an upgrade, rooms are old, carpet in hallways look very sad & old. Always had to ask for tea caddy to be topped up. No glasses in room. I actually worked as a housekeeper many years ago & we had to make sure that everything was spot on before leaving a room. Even the bin liners are not even pushed down. Outside planter boxes used as ashtrays which is not very inviting. Rooms looked good on internet! and the only good thing was that it is in a very good location for transport. Also it would be nice to at least get a "hello" when you walk in or out, most of the front staff didn't look up. We didn't order any food as there is nowhere to sit to eat.

We used our Great State travel voucher and purchased an extra night as well. The room was a little dated and could do with updating. Nice spacious room, but could have done with extra comfy seating as only one arm chair was provided. Unfortunately due to COVID-19, the breakfast included in the Great State Voucher package was not very good at all. We understand they were trying to do their best, but it just didn't work. All the staff that we dealt with were friendly and accommodating.

The location is excellent because it is close to everything including Rundle Mall, Adelaide Oval and the Casino. The staff were friendly and accommodating and having a car park on the premises was a bonus (even though a little squeezy). Breakfast was very good and beds were very comfy.

this hotel is nice and central to shopping in the city and our appointment's at the RAH. they were even more accommodating to let our car stay a little longer while we were at our appointment.

I stay at the Mercure Grosvenor on a weekly basis and I always feel welcome. The check in staff are always very friendly and help out if I have any issues. I also checked out early yesterday (18th) due to the new Covid restrictions and the staff member was very understanding. Keep up the good job!

Great customer service but very outdated. The room was very smelly and was forced to request housekeeping spray the room. The curtains were filthy. I have a credit at this hotel and will not be ever going back

I returned to the Mercure for a two night stay when I had to work one day in Adelaide. The COVID alarm was sounded on my one day there and I was fortunate enough to still get out on my early morning plane before the lock down was announced. I was of course subjected to the minimal services anyway because of COVID care measures so room service was very limited and I ate my first ever pizza - it was tasty and hot and arrived quickly. The room was well serviced and cleaning appeared to be well done. The front desk staff were cheerful and helpful. COVID warning signs and bottles of hand sanitiser were displayed and readily available. I walked a short distance to my work and enjoyed my stay. I felt safe, welcome and relaxed. I will be back - thank you.

We were booked for the Privilege room but when we got there they said they doubled booked and have us a standard room. He then offered me a bottle of wine but then tried to charge me for it

the room was very good, new bathroom plenty of room. the only disappointment was the beds were un comfortable not sure if it was the mattress or the base.

We really enjoyed our stay. The bathroom and bedding were nice and clean. The shower was only lukewarm to cold and not much pressure. Some instructions on how to use the nespresso machine would have been helpful. Breakfast was very generous and nice. Overall a good stay.

I am satisfied with: - breakfast - quality of food and time it took to get our orders ready; staff very helpful; we got our pre-ordered meals on time - staff (reception and kitchen) are very accommodating; I am please with their sense of professionalism - the room was clean and spacious - check in/out was quick - good value for money Things that can be improved: - parking underneath was terrible - I asked why the room is so warm; staff explained that aircon is centralised and there is no way this can be controlled; this is the first hotel I have stayed at where you could not control aircon from the room; we were not able to sleep through the night as it was really warm inside the room and is very uncomfortable (temperature wise) - I did not find any toothpaste/toothbrush kit - have to pay if you would like to watch movies on television - fridge was not cooling anything at all - My partner was wearing a moon boot due to a fractured leg; the only disability access was through the restaurant; but the access between restaurant and main lobby was closed; we ended up using the stairs of the entrance to the main lobby; not very accessible to people with disabilities or injuries - there are uneven floors going to our room; signage would help not to trip off

Unfortunately, our building being close to 100 years old has a different layout compared to modern day hotels. Again, being an older hotel, the building itself has a centralised air-conditioning system, due to which we do not have individual temperature controls in the room. We apologies for any discomfort you experienced during your stay. I do apologise no one explained to you that we do indeed have toothbrush and toothpaste kits available at reception free of charge. In regards to the door being locked out the front for the lift access instead of the stairs, we keep it locked for security reasons however we can still open it once the intercom button is pressed, again i do apologise no one explained this to you. I am sorry that on this occasion we did not meet full expectations, but I assure you the areas of concern you have raised will be follow-up by our hotel management. The room wasn’t what we expected very small and not modern
