Although the hotel was well located, the room was noisy at all hours (mainly air conditioning), and in need of updating, there were no comforts in the room and the breakfast was very disappointing. Placement of toilet in bathroom made it tricky to actually use. Room lighting was inadequate and the fact all windows were opaque made it feel dark and dingy.

I am very sorry to read that several aspects of your stay did not meet your expectations, particularly regarding room comfort, lighting, noise, cleanliness, and your breakfast experience. Please accept my sincere apologies that your room felt uncomfortable and did not provide the level of comfort or quality you were expecting. Your comments regarding lighting, air conditioning noise, and room presentation have been shared with our maintenance and housekeeping teams for urgent review. I am also very concerned to hear about your experience at check-out regarding payment for late departure. This is clearly not the standard of service we expect from our team. I sincerely apologise for the inconvenience and frustration caused, particularly given your time pressure to travel to the airport. I understand how upsetting it must have been to have to resolve this after already believing everything had been pre-arranged and paid. This matter will be reviewed with our front office team to ensure clearer communication and proper verification processes are followed to avoid situations like this occurring again. Your feedback regarding breakfast selection is also appreciated and will be shared with our food and beverage team for review, particularly around healthier options and variety. While I am glad you found our booking process and initial arrival experience satisfactory, it is clear we fell short in several key areas during your stay. Staff very good. Rooms a bit dated but if only sleeping in ok. Some work happening that was slightly annoying and wifi not good in the room I’m in. TV reception wasn’t good…but if only sleeping and showering very good clean and comfortable.

A little bit of nostalgia staying at the Grosvenor with my mother 40 years ago. Enjoyed my stay just as much as the first time. Fantastic location, free trams and railway station across the road. Nice view out onto North Terrace. I travelled from Melbourne on the Overland train and it's a very relaxing way to travel. Also enjoyed a day out to Port Adelaide. Not long enough. Will have to come back for another visit. Staff were very helpful.

The room had no windows and appeared quite bleak, and it was extremely cold. Although the building has central heating, staff advised that a portable heater could be arranged; however, this required several follow‑up calls before it could be provided. In the interim, this would have required me to move the heater around the room as needed.
