Best thing? It is nearly opposite the convention centre - so very easy access. Good hot water for shower. Sadly they have a lot to do. It was hot in Adelaide - walked into the room and it was hoit and stuffy. My alarm bells went off when I saw a pedestal fan near the bed. I looked - the only 'air con was a switch on the wall to go from low to high fan. I flicked to high. No difference. I thought no problems - I will open window. The curatins hid windows that were sealed shut and had frosting over them, Peering through the edge of the frosting it was some little enclave with lots of pigeons that woke me up each day (others were complaining about this too). They were fully booked so could not change rooms, and their comment was we can send yo ua fan - I said I had one. I put some water in the bar fridge to cool to make my shake the next morning. It froze solid. (Maybe I should have left the door open to cool the room.) Access to the bathroom was through a narrow door and up a step. After a knee replacement this was a little alarming. My side of the bed was comfortable. When I sat on the side near the fridge the mattress was very soft and floppy. The desk was good so I could work, but no arm chair or anythign other than the bed and desk.

Staff were wonderful and location gave easy access to city and trams. Rooms were very run down and still decorated from the 70's.

Room was okay. Shower was horrible - no pressure at all - location was perfect. Staff friendly. Few bugs in our room which wasn’t pleasant.

Disappointed that the only mirror in the room was in the bathroom. This made it tricky for 2 ladies to get ready. I thought I’d purchased room only but on arrival it said breakfast had been charged at $15 per person. This has already been paid for so I did not dispute it but I would not normally choose a Continental breakfast. It was very basic with very little left, not even a banana or whole meal bread. There were 2 coffee machines, only one worked and the coffee was so bitter, you had to sweeten it to make it palatable. I wouldn’t dine there again. The room was clean and comfortable and reception staff were friendly.

Acceptable but our room (521) had very little natural light. We had all the lights on when we were in the room and it was still very dull
