Comfortable experience for my overnight stay

Almost perfect stay. I booked your hotel for a 1-night stay when I was travelling across Germany. I was very warmly welcomed by your front desk (one of the best receptionists I have encountered in Accor so far!). And also the room was very clean and comfortable. I only have 2 small minus points which did not make it 100% perfect (but rather 90% perfect). The first is that I had to actively ask for my room upgrade which in other Accor hotels is pro-actively offered. I don't like to ask for this, but if it is not offered or discussed on arrival, I do ask for it o/c given my Diamond status. The second was that there was a bit of a strange (sewer) smell in the corridors of the hotel (which was unsuccessfully trying to be masked with some parfum). Luckily that smell was not in the room, so it was just a 'scary' feeling of what I would find in the room when I was first walking there.

Entering my room, I recognized that the the temperature. It was not possible to regulate., so I slept with open window.

Had several stays in this hotel, which is overall ok, but lacks in core aspects imho. As a loyal platinum member I’ve never been addressed nor being offered an upgrade spontaneously, even if there was capacity. Unfortunately, a very common aspect to all ACCOR hotels. It’s more for the points itself rather than for extra service or amenities you get that that I'm still booking ACCOR hotels. Other brands offer much more attention and services to loyal members. This specific hotel lacks in cleanness. Hair everywhere in the bathroom, especially in the corners. Not a good feeling at all. But that’s a common tendency in all Accor hotels. Cheap labour leads to poor service. Restaurant food quality is very poor. I do avoid eating there. There are many good examples of Mercure or Novotel with much better food quality. Depending on if you get the renewed ones or not. Poor

My room smelled musty, and in order to open the window I had to return to the reception (because the phone didn’t work) and sign a form so they could unlock it (the room was on the first floor with a rooftop terrace in front of the window). No wonder the room didn’t smell good if it couldn’t be ventilated.”
