The hotel staff was very friendly, and overall my stay was good. Only not so good aspect was the breakfast coming as lunch box without being able to select leading to food waste.

Dear Jens, You are right about the extra junk at breakfast. We would much rather be able to present you our buffet breakfast or even a tray service in the restaurant. Unfortunately, the pandemic regulations of the state of Lower Saxony do not allow this. We hope we have the pandemic under control soon and get back to the "new" normal with buffet. The room was great. It was clean and well made prior to my arrival. I really like that the rooms have both Heating and Air Conditioning, but even nicer for me to see was that the rooms seemed to be set up with a system that circulates the outdoors air into the room. This is something I wish all German houses and apartments had but sadly we are stuck with large windows, insufficent ambient heating that requires us to constantly open the windows to control the moisture. The room was also very peaceful and quiet. This was very important for me cause I am plagued with sleep issues in my noisy apartment. The staff were friendly and helpful! The only reason I dont give it a perfect 10 rating is cause , sadly the bar and restaurant were closed due to the Covid crisis. I can imagine how nice this hotel is when all of it is running as it should. Thats all I have to say for now. Thank you Accor and Mercure Hotel Hannover Mitte!

Bed was made sloppy - dirty linen

Good Stay but could have been Cleaner

I stayed for one night, a reservation I had to change a few times due to covid-19 but the hotel was so understanding. Check in was very swift and I headed to my room 334. On reaching the 3rd floor the smell of stale cigarette smoke hit me, thankfully it didn't filter to my room but I genuinely thought I was on a smoking floor as a guest had obviously been smoking in their room. On first appearance the room seemed clean but the cleaner had not wiped down the desk which had fresh coffee stains. I travelled with wipes so did this myself but it did make me question the cleaning standards. The bed and bathroom were clean and I did sleep well. The breakfast was very good, worth adding to a booking

Check in was smooth and quick! We booked room through booking.com for two persons! In our room was everything only for one person, so I needed to go to reception and ask for additional blanket, pillow and towels! Otherwise room was clean and stylish! Even the fact that our window was to street side, it was not load, so we got a really good sleep!

Receptionist very professional and friendly. Corono restrictions were observed. Room was rather small but there was a strong smell of sewage, particularly in the bathroom and really strongly in the garage.

great service despite Corona worries

3 nights with my wife and toddler. Breakfast was good and provided a wide selection for the three of us to enjoy. the addition of vegan options was a welcome touch. staff were super attentive and friendly, something that we greatly appreciated over our stay. the parking situation could be improved in terms of value for money. As a hotel guest I was surprised to have to pay for parking, and then especially at a rate of 16.50 per day. the bar was very well stocked in terms of gin and the drinks were delicious. While it's interesting to see the attempt to use less water and resources by encouraging guests to keep their towels in return for a free soft drink or loyalty points, we didn't take part: we needed new toilet paper on the first day and we had no place to adequately dry our towels. and even when we didn't leave our towels on the rack, rather than leaving them on floor, they were still replaced with new ones. some more training required perhaps? In advance of getting to the hotel, we did flag via email to the hotel and then again via the online check in that we needed a parking space for the duration of the stay and a baby crib. I didn't receive a response to the email nor to the checkin request. on the day we arrived, the welcome was fine, but I didn't get a sense that the online checkin sped things up. also, while there was a crib in the room, there was no confirmation from the hotel in advance that this would be the case.

We stayed for 4 nights to include the Hannover - Hamburg match. Very comfortable stay. Good ambience in lounge and bar area. Night porter to be commended for helping us resolve a problem with the safe at 1 am. Have stayed here a few times and each time have been very satisfied. Extra pillows provided as requested. Hotel staff are always welcoming and friendly.
