Great location and decent family room

We have stayed here before and like both the location and room size of this hotel. It comfortably accommodates a family of 4 and the facilities are good, especially the large bath which the kids love. The only issue we had is that the a/c in the room did not work and it was quite warm. We had to open the window, but in that area it can be white noisy.

Great location but the hotel needs a renovation

First impressions are lasting impressions and the initial impression was a hotel with front desk staff who are overworked and overwhelmed. I felt sorry for them and the slowness of their computer and the number of guests returning with door access cards that didn’t work. Something is wrong. Although it’s a Novotel it felt more like a 30 year old Ibis Budget with the rooms being tired and worn and many things like curtains and room dividers in disrepair. It could be a fantastic hotel, if the rooms were renovated. Security was also a concern with so many drunks and obvious drug addicts hanging around the hotel vicinity and making noise at all hours of the night. Better external lighting would soon keep these people away from the hotel. The best part was the breakfasts. They have an excellent breakfast and the staff are wonderful.

My second stay here. Staff are friendly, the location is fantastic for an early morning start by train. The rooms are comfortable but look a bit tired, perhaps needs redecorating.
