My room had one window and was very dark. There were 2 lamps at the door by the entrance, only 2 bedlight at the bed, making the whole room extremely dark. The ventilation in the bathroom is very (!) loud, so you avoid turning on the lamp in it. As a silver-member I would have expetected a bit more to be honest. Also I did not get my welcome drink voucher and paid my own drink (and I dont think I should be asking for my voucher). All in all I would not recommend this hotel. It was one night only, but would have requested another room if I had stayed longer.

Hotel is centrally located and it was a pleasant stay. Although there were several things "due to Corona" which are not up to date anymore ( rooms not cleaned, bar closed, restaurant closed, ..) Btw : All other restaurants an Pubs were opened in Bochum !

No complaints, anything was good except the noise isolation. I was in a room on the train station side and it was very noisy. During the night, a pedestrian light stop made a very persistent and bothering sound.

The staff in this hotel are irreponsible and don't care about human life. There actions put people at risk. They are not informed well. We are as society under unusual cirmustances. I asked them to change my booking for March 2021 and refuse. They charge me 583 Euros for the cancellation. They have taken advantage of a difficult situation. I will avoid this hotel and posted in every social medium-avoid this hotel at all costs!!! I have been going to this hotel for the past 8 years. They have no loyalty to patients-AVOID THIS HOTEL

Dear Mr. K., we are very appalled by your review. Your feedback is simply not true and we ask you to reconsider your feedback. The cost of your booking of 647€ was charged to your credit card on 03.02.20, according to the reservation conditions you accepted. You did not arrive on 15.03.20 without informing us, we kept your room free for the first night in case you arrived later that night. This was not the case. The first night was charged with 90% cancellation fees and the remaining amount, already paid, was credited to your credit card directly the next day, 16.03.20, in the amount of 544,40€. Please check your credit card statement. It is a pity that you, as a service provider with guests, accuse us of such careless handling. After all, this is our daily business. Especially we bear a very high responsibility for our guests and our staff. We are looking forward to your revising evaluation and remain with best regards and wish you a speedy recovery. From checking in which is so easy, we received great rooms. Staff are always friendly and welcoming. Many now recognise us, so always come over to greet us. Breakfast as normal really good value

I regularly stay at this hotel when visiting my son. I was delighted to see the results of the refurbishment which have created a lovely ambience in the public rooms. Staff are always pleasant and helpful, the rooms clean and comfortable and the wifi is good. My only niggles this time were that they ran out of coffee for the coffee machine in the bedroom, and despite being told that there were ironing facilities (we were attending a wedding) this did not work properly and caused us some problems (despite the staff trying to help). However, these were only minor issues and I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone coming to Bochum.

The Mecure hotels always offer an excellent service at an affordable price and this one was no exception. The room was clean and spacious and there is a machine for making coffee or tea. There is also an underground car park with direct access to the hotel.My only criticism is the lack of a refrigerator in the room.

With late check in some food was no problem. Friendly people working is a fine hotel. The cussion of the bed in 912 is not so nice but matras is fine. Safe inside parking is perfect. Location in the middle of the centre. Nice X-max market in the streets during december

perfect location next to train station and the city center nice welcome drink for sliver accor member (not every accor offers) great view from hotel room to the city staff are friendly and responsive bar is cosy room is generally fine, room for improvement is to add a kettle, since the coffee machine cannot make hot water, not so friendly for people who want to have warm/ hot water

This stay in Mercure Bochum I have got the Mercure suit and I have to say, that all was 110 percent perfect. Staf at reception friendly as usual, room service without any problem. The problem I am finding is just now, because this applicqtion forces me to use 200 words for review,it is a bit nonsrce, because one single word would be enough: PERFECT. I will come gladly again. Great location, very central. Beautiful hall and bar. Comfortable rooms (though a bit small with respect to other Mercure hotels), good beds. Very clean. The wifi is free. Not very fast but OK for most of the needs.

Check in was smooth.the team speaks very good English.our room was on the ethical floor with views across the city.we didn't eat at te hotel as there are so many options to eat out in botchum. my only criticism is the mac computer in reception for customer use. I couldn't get it to work properly but the staff were great and printed my boardngpasses at reception desk.would recommend and would stay again
