Unfortunately this is not the first time i have been left feeling disappointed by the stay at the Sofitel in DH. I was booked into the harbour view room after cancelling a colleagues room in the jones bay room(i showed the manager the booking on my phone) but it was the harbour view that was cancelled, the manager offered me a complimentary bottle of wine to make amends which never arrived. We were booked into a room that had another welcome letter to another guest and a cake, thinking we were doin the right thing, phoned the desk to let them know and we were told to just eat it!!! why ask if i have allergies if that is the attitude, i am coeliac and woud love a chocolate cake but absolutely cant have it... then at check out my partner told the lady behind the counter that he wasnt happy and got a terrible attitude back from her. Needless to say twice bitten.. never again.

Overall, had a great stay with Sofitel. Loved the lounge on level 35. Room was spotless clean, housekeeping attendants was very good in delivering our requested amenities promptly. Only issue was the loud noise from bars down in darling harbour. The loud music did not stop until almost 12am. Making it hard to fall asleep.

My wife & I recently stayed for one night at Sofitel Darling Harbour, and we had a truly wonderful experience. We appreciated the complimentary room upgrade. The view from our room was exceptional, offering stunning views over Darling Harbour and the city skyline. The bed was extremely comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. The staff throughout the hotel were friendly, professional, and always willing to help. The location is outstanding, perfectly positioned in Darling Harbour with the light rail out the front or a nice walk to the city centre, circular quay and other Sydney attractions. A particular highlight was the Executive Lounge. The ambience, amazing views, attentive service and quality food and beverage offerings made it an exceptional experience. We would highly recommend staying here and will definitely return on our next visit to Sydney.

Overall, my stay experience was very pleasant. The service was excellent, and I truly enjoyed the room and facilities. However, the lighting system in the room could be improved. When selecting “All Lights Off,” there doesn’t seem to be an option to switch on just one individual lamp or leave a soft night light on. It would be helpful if guests could control each light separately, especially for those who prefer to keep a small light on while sleeping. In addition, for rooms equipped with a bathtub, it may be a thoughtful touch to provide disposable bathtub liners for guests who prefer an added sense of hygiene and comfort when enjoying a bath. Thank you. I look forward to staying again in the future.

The stay was great. The Concierge suggested to take a ferry to Circular Quary which was awesome. My son Sebastian absolutely loved it. Not sure of the Concierge's name (his son was also called Sebastian). Thank you very much. The hotel and the room were fantastic. This was our second stay at the Sofitel Darling Harbour, and we look forward to coming back again soon.
