I do not write reviews, but the way the hotel stuff behaved at the Adagio Vatican, Rome hotel made me write this. The hotel is nice and has the pool, a nice addition but the stuff behavior is terrible, I have traveled extensively at the Accor Hotels, as a previous gold customer, but such customer treatment I have not encountered so far and I mean: everything you ask the stuff for, looks like they are doing you a favor, you have to wait for anything, no matter how simple. and the answer comes patronizing you. The cherry on the pie is that the pre-authorization/guarantee of 148 Euro was not reversed at check out, as customary,. I also wrote an email asking if they reversed the money, no answer till now. Terrible service!

You can put on platforms, I don't mind

I had an enjoyable stay at the Aparthotel. The apartment's facilities were good and I had quite a spacious apartment with a balcony. The swimming pool was a real bonus. Breakfast was busy but there was a good selection of food, fruit, cold meats, pastries, cereals and great coffee. The staff were very friendly, porfessional and polite throughout my stay - great reception and breakfast teams. It was a bit of a walk downtown but I enjoyed it and there were some restaurants nearby - one lovely restaurant right next to the hotel and a good Tigre supermarket at the bottom of the hill, about 15 mins walk - there were others closer - but the rotisserie chicken at Tigre was great! I would definitely go back there!

The aparthotel was well suited for our family of 4. The kitchen was helpful. The rooms were spacious and very clean. Nice to have a balcony overlooking the swimming pool. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is very close to a train station which can get you into the city but we used taxis for convenience. Given the heatwave in Rome, we were thankful the rooms had air conditioning.

Nice and clean and accommodating

Extremely disappointed right from the moment I arrived. I had to wait a long time at reception, and the receptionist's attitude wasn't exactly good. There was a rather unpleasant smell in the room and the hotel hallway. We were told that if we left a mess, the €50 security deposit wouldn't be returned. The bed linen and towels weren't going to be changed either—I’ve never encountered a hotel like this. I practically had to vacuum the room before leaving just to be sure I’d get my money back. I still didn't get the money back. I even had to take out the trash. I paid a lot of money for zero service. Extremely disappointed. I do not recommend this hotel.

Great apartment , well equipped , air con is very quiet and efficient . Bus 990 is all you need and if you want to run or cycle there s a great cycle route above the train which runs all the way to the Vatican.

The apartment was clean and a good size. It was great having a pool, however you had to book a time slot to use the pool as it got very busy. The sofa bed wasn’t great as it wasn’t a double pull out it was a sofa you took cushions off and a separate mattress you pulled out from bellow and this made a separate bed low to the floor and you had to make these up yourself with bedding. Also the dinner set wasn’t great really cheap and small so the mugs and bowls were tiny. It wouldn’t put me off staying there again however it wasn’t as good as I had expected.

The hotel and room themselves are great. Location is not too far from the city centre and there’s convenient public transportation nearby. I stayed in the one bedroom apartment which was spacious and well equipped. The downside comes from the staff and the policies which, had I been aware of in advance, might have made me reconsider staying there. I always choose this type of accommodation (an apartment within a hotel complex) because it usually combines the space and equipment of an apartment with the services of a hotel. Also, I feel like it doesn’t take an actual apartment from local people who need lodging. This place does not offer services which you might expect from a hotel. There is housekeeping only if you stay more than 7 days. It was my case, I stayed for 8 nights so I should have gotten one housekeeping cleaning. I did not know that before checking in. Also, the housekeeping doesn’t extend to the kitchen area and they do not empty trash cans. Also, the housekeeping cannot be done on weekends. So, in the end, they did the “housekeeping” (new towels basically) the day before my last day, which was kind of useless. They only provide 2 little coffee pods for the coffee machine no matter how long your stay, any extra cup they charge you €1 each, even if you stay for 8 days. The pool is small and they have a “reservation” system which doesn’t work very well. They ask you to book a 2 hour slot the day before (between 10-12, 12-14, 14-16, etc). However, the hotel being 45 minutes from city centre by public transportation and Rome being Rome, it’s hard to plan on arriving exactly at let’s say 14:00. If you miss, for example you arrive at 15:00, they have given your spot to someone else. I was there early August and by the end of my trip people were booking slots 2-3 days in advance, not the day before! We ended up not booking time slots and counting on the fact that people were going to miss their time slot anyway and we were able to use the pool that way. We had our own pool towels but we heard people asking for the yellow towels at reception which were lent for €25!! The reception staff was not friendly for the most part. My check in experience was the worst I’ve had and I travel a lot for work. The people simply do not care and they talk amongst each other about you thinking you don’t understand their language. The only friendly staff were the lifeguards at the pool. The rest are rude and have no desire to make your stay enjoyable. All in all, A+ for the building, room and location, failing grade for the staff and the policies that make you feel like you rented a vrbo with an unreachable host.

We were travelling with a 4 month old baby and after a long journey we just wanted to check in and settle into the room but it took 45 to check in as there was only one person managing a multitude of guests. The customer service from the receptionist Alina was not what I expected from a hotel. You have to pay for pool towels on the spot and can't charge them to your room. The room itself was pleasant and very functional but be aware that the rooms are cleaned weekly.

Had everything we needed. Good space. Easy to take the bus to the center. Discovered silverfish in the room the last day, which effects the rating.

Beautiful trip for one day with my family, the kids enjoyed the water pool, and we the parents enjoyed the drink coffe on the terrace and to enjoyed all the panorama from the terrace . Amazing staying and very clean everything, the stuff from reception very warm and friendly. We recommended this hotel for everyone who wants to enjoy a lovely holiday 😀

My friend and I were travelling to Rome and picked this hotel for the location and thought it was a good deal. On arriving the first woman with short brown hair and glasses we met at reception was extremely rude and we waited to check in and she shooed us away saying ‘go sit in the lobby’ we waited there for 30 minutes not knowing what was happening and when I went back she said ‘I told you to sit in the lobby’. After another period of around 20 minutes she came over and took a couple in front of us to check in and then came back to get us. She said we would need to pay a hold fee but I’d get it back and we need to pay city tax. I went to pay the tax and she physically hit my phone away and tutted and said something in Italian . When I said there was no communication as to what was happening she said ‘well I’m busy’ and when I asked about the hold payment she said ‘any damage you do’. This was not a great start. We went up to our room and our air con wasn’t working and we went to reception 4 seperate times to have this fixed. Nobody would come up to look. On our second last day we went back again and we’re eventually moved room. Which was a bit late. I can’t understand why someone at a front desk would find it so comfortable to be so rude and think it’s acceptable to physically hit my hand and phone away. The blonde haired lady on our last day was so helpful and lovely that had we met her on our first day we’d have had a better experience as she couldn’t have been nicer it’s unfortunate we encounter the most unwelcoming staff member first.

Management of the appart hotel was kind, perfect and available the all day and night. Everything was thought with comfort in "our" apart. In Roma, it was (nearly) exceptional

The apartment was a little dated but ok. Well furnished with everything we needed. The issues were that the shower leaked and despite reporting three times was never fixed. The swimming pool was also restricted… you have to book in advance and only for 2 hour slots. But the time we found out on arrival the following day was full with no flex. I’d specifically chosen this site for the pool for our two young kids. Very poorly advertised or communicated until it was too late.
