This hotel is almost like second home for us. We are lucky enough to travel to Spain and/ or France at least once year and part of our "routine" is to spend at least one night on both the outbound return journey. The hotel is ideally situated for the beautiful city, of Poitiers but is so quiet you could be in the middle of the countryside with nothing around to disturb you. The staff are warm, friendly and professional and all speak excellent English and are very happy to assist with my schoolgirl French! The hotel is spotlessly clean- and we think must cleaned by fairies or magic as we have never seen a cleaner or heard a hoover but have never seen as much as a biscuit crumb anywhere! The breakfast is a veritable feast with cereals, fresh fruit and more pastries than we could eat in a lifetime; the orange juice is guaranteed fresh as you use a juicing machine when you are ready and hot chocolate (an deal accompaniment for any breakfast) and several different coffees are available all under the watchful eye of the lovely and helpful "manager"- unfortunately even after all these years (at least 8) we have still yet to remember his name, a definite error on our part. Like leaving the house of a favourite relative, leaving Ibis Style Poitiers leaves you wanting to return more often and for longer every time.
