The new room on the 6 floor was very disappointing.th metal frame around the bed takes away space and means to get anything from the table one needs to negotiate the metal frame (not nice in the dark).The table and chairs mean also that there is nowhere to put a case to unpack.

Overall, I had a decent stay at IBIS St Andrews. Unfortunately, my experience at check-in was not very positive - the staff member (Aamir, if I recall correctly) was not particularly helpful and did not acknowledge my Accor Platinum status or discuss potential upgrade options, despite rooms appearing to be available.
