A perfect base for exploring Edinburgh. The rooms are spacious and clean. All the staff were friendly and polite, being helpful whenever needed. The hotel is located near a tram stop and a short walk to the shopping, tourist attractions and anything else you need.

Lovely friendly staff. Location good. Breakfast continental only, apart from scrambled eggs and haggis. The main issue was the room which was like a broom cupboard. Very dissapointing to have such a tiny room. The pillows were hard. The quality of the bedding not great. Not cheap either.

Cannot fault anyone working in the hotel, all staff went out their way to help. Unfortunately only one of the two lifts were working so sometimes we waited longer as we were on 5th floor. Our room was smaller than I expected especially as I took an upgrade for £36.+ and it appeared smaller than the twin room I originally booked !! Our room was situated at the back of the hotel and it was rather noisy from about 5am onwards which was unfortunate. Would be happy to stay again but would definitely choose a room at the front 👍🏻
