Efficient check-in/out and very friendly staff. However, the bathroom (shower/toilet) had an unusual odor and didn’t feel thoroughly cleaned—visible stains and fingerprints on the toilet flush suggested cleaning was rushed.

The location was great. But for the price of our stay I felt the room was poorly maintained and not at the level of quality that I expected per the photos advertised. The shower head had rust or grime at the nozzles. The glass shower screen wasn't that clean. The TV would have issues and lag whenever you tried to use anything other than live tv. There were scratches and dents on the wall and fixed furniture. The view was wonderful - except for the construction and crane that was partially obstructing the view. Front desk staff were unwelcoming at check in - which after 3 flights (1 hour, 7 hours and 14 hours), landing in a country that I've never been to before, and after attempting to navigate the public transport - it was not helpful to receive the cold reception making me feel stupid and an inconvenience.

Beautiful location, great rooms and views. Perfect for business stays but i would also consider bringing my family. Breakfast on the 37th floor with amazing view of London. Great facilities like pool and fitness, and very kind staff.

Small things could've made a lot of difference. The shower head was covered in limescale which was still soft so could have been wiped off. There were no ordinary teabags in the room. The biggest issue was breakfast. You claim it opens at 0630. I was second in the queue at this time. The rope was across and no one in sight. And not for the next few minutes. Then other people joined the queue. I then went past the rope to enquire if it was opening and found someone plodding up the stairs with no hurry, who said it was. At 0635 no eggs were available. Scrambled were another 5 minutes and fried an extra 5 mins. Part of the selling point of this hotel is that breakfast is available from 0630, particularly when I need to start work at 0700. So this is frustrating. The covers for the handles of the serving spoons etc that sit under the heat lamps are incredibly worn which, apart from looking tatty, means that they get hot. Even by then, when they had only been sat there for a few mins, they were incredibly hot to touch. All of these things are easy fixes but currently push the Novotel Cansry Wharf down the list of choices.
