As a Platinum member of Accor hotels I am frequently staying in Novotel. This time it was for leisure. The hotel was being renovated and building works were ongoing. The welcome experience was not great. Reception staff was not the most welcoming. The rooms were nice but it was extremely hot in the room and we were unable to bring the temperature down (opening a window was not an option due to the noise outside). We mentioned it when leaving on the next day and they promised to look into it.

good location and service, common areas ok but room is outdated and partially not as clean as would be expected

There was no welcome drink on the app and I had to ask, which I was given only one when there were three people staying together. Based on previous stays, I am always given 3 welcome drinks, and I wonder why there’s a difference between Novotels and Accor hotels.
