ibis Styles Marseille Centre Prado Castellane Hotel 3 stars

The hotel is well located to get about in Marseille. While it doesn't have a restaurant or bar, there are many good venues within easy walking distance. The hotel receptionist was extremely helpful and all the staff friendly. My room was clean and comfortable.

Staff were friendly and efficient. The room was comfortable, particularly the large bed. The lighting, however, was not strong enough to read by. The bathroom was generally very clean, although the mould on some of the tiles was off-putting. The breakfast was good in all respects. Overall, a pleasant experience.

In general it was a very good city centre hotel and great value for money, however the bathroom are in desperate need of an update, the baths were very badly chipped and need of replacement. Look at the bath in 203.

The room was small but had everything we needed. Curtains were great leaving the room really dark, perfect for a good night sleep. It was quiet too. Location was ideal for us, close to metro station or 20min walk to the port area. Staff was friendly and polite. Breakfast was basic and reasonable. Coffee was great on the first day, no so good on the second. Highlight was the orange juice. Overall I'd recommend and stay again.

The hotel was good value, clean and the beds really comfortable. I liked that the windows opened and that the air conditioning worked but was not too forceful. Delicious french breakfast.

The location was perfect; close to a 2-line Metro station and quiet. The staff was very friendly. Though the room was very small it was very well designed and efficient. The 1 single bed turned out to be a unique size; 2/3 to 3/4 the size of a standard double. I wish the breakfast would have included scrambled eggs and sausage, but that is very hard to find in any hotel. My digestive system needed to get away from such a heavy reliance on bread. Overall, the hotel added to a very wonderful 3 day visit to the glorious city of Marseille.

Overall I enjoyed my stay. The room was surprisingly small, but enough for one. The staff was consistently very helpful and very friendly.

A thoroughly enjoyable stay. Hotel was very clean, staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Hotel is very close to facilities, a short walk to a daily market, two supermarkets, numerous bars & restaurants. Hotel is 5 minutes walk from buses, metro & tram.

A nice hotel, tucked away between two main roads in a decent neighbourhood, but nice and quiet. For drivers there is an adjacent multi-storey car park & non drivers will find buses, tram & metro within a 5 minute walk. On top of that, there are many restaurants & bars plus a daily market. The hotel is just two metro stops from The Stade Velodrome so its a perfect hotel for the football. I had a single room which was small but spotlessly clean, with a large comfortable bed, sufficient wardrobe space & a modern clean bathroom with a very powerful shower. Buffet breakfast was standard Ibis Styles in a bright spacious room. The staff were friendly & helpful and the complimentary tea,coffee water and biscuits were very welcome. I would gladly stay here again.

Marielle from reception was really nice and put a lot of effort to understand an issue with a charge I had in my card, which later we discovered was associated to online check in guarantee deposit of 20 euros. The rest of experience was way below expectations, this Ibis Styles is below the standards and I felt worse than in many Ibis Budget I’ve been before, the old furnitures and poor maintained rooms, not good shower and very poor internet connection. I was negatively surprised with the breakfast, only bread and ham available, few yogurt and coffee. There was an orange juice machine without orange, no cheese (cmon how come a breakfast in France has no cheese?) and nobody from hotel taking care to fulfill missing items of the breakfast. I got only one night in this Ibis and breakfast was included in price, if I had paid extra for breakfast my disappointment would’ve been even higher. I also know in France they dom’t like to speak English but the manager in such a hotel should, however the manager in this Ibis Styles didn’t speak a single word in English so if you have an issue and you are not french it is your problem. In summary thanks to Marielle for being helpful and nice but this hotel needs a lot of improvement.

Well located Hotel and Nice Staff (especially the lady on duty Sunday October 29th). The room is a little old compared to other Ibis Styles I stayed.

Easy booking, staff very helpful and pleasant and the breakfast was good too. Particularly liked the fresh orange juice!
