The room was nice however the pillows were awful, either flat with no support or really thick during the night I got the feeling that I was falling out of the bed and in the morning when I investigated there were several broken legs on one side, I woke up during the night and thought that I could hear an approaching aircraft but it got no louder if finally realised that it was the fridge running, The shower head leaves a bit to be desired as there is no way to adjust it

Our experience was excellent.Room was comfortable and restaurant meal was good. We requested an earlier check in because I wasnt well and the staff member was empathic and accommodating. Later on our dealings with the restaurant staff was just as good.

I like the rooms at the Mercure Newcastle Airport and the beds are super comfortable. However; I have to say the check in staff was a flat, the person who checked us in was certainly friendly enough but exuded zero energy. Also, we were advised that the restaurant was open until 10 and upon arrival at the hotel at 9pm it was closed. If you're going to close, being an isolated airport hotel, perhaps consider installing some vending machines with some decent takeaway food options available ( similar to other properties ie Holiday Inn Express).
