Sadly our experience didn't start well. There was a major power outage as we arrived which through things out a little. It was obvious the hotel has not planned for such an event as the lack of communication with the staff soon became evident. As no food was available, even though we were told certain things were, then wernt, the hotel did offer us to be driven to the local pub do we could eat and we were very grateful. As accor + members there was only the usual drink vouchers but nothing welcoming in the room. No candles, no tourches and no power for 3 hours. Staff were as helpful as they could be

We had a 6:10am flight from Newcastle Airport, the hotel is in a great location to make that early flight. We had a nice dinner in the restaurant, and the room was comfortable and a high standard.
