Good hotel but was better before

Nice hotel with really friendly staff. It used to be the case that gold / diamond members would receive water / welcome amenities in the room. That happens up until June but it seems to have stopped. It's a shame, I got used to know I'd at least have water when arriving late at night.

Hotel Mercure Amersfoort is my preferred hotel for a solid stay, without surprises. The privilege rooms on the top floor are large, well maintained, tastefully styled and sufficiently equipped (coffee machine etc), with a nice view on the city and excellent sound proofing. Beds are very good, airco is silent and the room was already on the right temperature when I arrived. Breakfast was more than sufficient.

I m very satisfied with the staff. Zena at the reception was very professional and friendly. The room spotless clean but very cold. Ladies in reception took care of the heating. All good. Breakfast was decent but the layout and the set up of the buffet was not very comfortable. You need to rearrange the order...everything was mixed up...e.g plates, bread, butter, cheese, ham, veggies, eggs, jam and in the end pastries...
