I arrived around 2:45 and the receptionist claimed that the hotel is fully booked, even so that I requested a room on high floor + view over the church and in my booking it was my choice of room with extra payment for it. In addition, there was no room service, only a bottle of water in the fridge, the coffee section was empty in the room and also the floor heating in the bathroom was not working. For breakfast there was no tag on any of the sections, so you kinda have to guess was i provided and worse than all, was the quality of the coffee provided during breakfast which was just from a cheap coffee machine. Overall i doubt if i would like to stay at this hotel again.

None of the staff were wearing masks and a lot of guests weren't wearing masks either which made us slightly uncomfortable. Cleaning standards were not up to par in the room. The curtains on the left had so many yellow spotted stains that at first though it was a pattern (we have pictures), however, on close examination saw that these were actual stains. It was an adjoining room, so the door to the other room had a lot of finger and palm prints clearly visible. Cobwebs hung from the ceiling and there was dust on the furniture and even the main door leading into the room. No bathrobes, no slippers, no free mineral water (as indicated on your website), A plus -- the room was big, had an amazing view and was pretty much walking distance to the nearby town center. Also attached to a small mall. Good parking, reasonably priced and ample space to move the car unlike some other hotels where space is a problem.

I was supposed to receive my invoice by email, never came. Service of the hotel was very average (info from staff for e.g. on places to eat)

It was an amazing couple of days. Beautiful room (Junior suite), not that expensive, good location, friendly staff. There was a mixup with the dinner reservation that we had made but they fixed the problem very quick and apologized. Overal, I would definitely recommend this Hotel and come here again!

Came with my daughter and we’d booked a suite so we could enjoy the double jacuzzi and space. Check in was faultless. It was explained that due to Covid, we needed to fill out a breakfast form fir each day and collect from there in the morning at the wee time I wanted. Then off we went in the lift to our suite. It’s quite a wow when you enter the suite! Huge windows! A lovely big dining table/work desk (with printer). A little area for tea/coffee making and a mini fridge. Then the lounge, with a fire! Walk around to the bathroom area, with the lovely jacuzzi and huge walk in shower. The bedroom is a wonderful size too, with a super comfortable bed and plenty of storage. Breakfast was lovely each morning. Housekeeping came each morning (it’s amazing how far croissant crumbs can go, so was grateful for that! ) and the room beautifully made up each time. All the members of staff we spoke to/saw were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend a stay.

Emotionally and physically exhausted by tough life events, we booked 2 nights in that hotel to recharge our batteries. All we needed is a quiet stay in a comfy room. We got that + convenience + very attentive staff (which is definitely not a given in the Netherlands). Mercure Amersfoort Center exceeded our expectations. - The bed and pillows are of very good quality. The room is very silent (no corridor noises, nor A/C noises) and the heated floor in the bathroom feels super good on our feet. - Great location: looking at the map, we thought it was a bit far away from the centre, but it's actually literally 5 minutes walk. Perfect to browse the medieval streets and have a walk in the park that circles all around the old town (following the old walls) - Parking is convenient (but poorly indicated on the website or around the hotel, follow Interparking Oppidium, it has direct access to the hotel lobby) and cheap (you get a discount at the reception, we paid 9€ for 48 hours if I remember correctly). Tips: if you're there for tourism on a weekend, book the tasty walk (just google it), we paid 34€ per person and got to eat something "to-go" in 6 different restaurants all over the old-town (one of them being sweet, we started with it as breakfast). It's a very pleasant way to discover the medieval city-centre and it was delicious (and being Italian from my father and French from my mother, I'm hard to impress) What could still be improved? - Indicate the parking better on the website (just tell us the price and the name of the parking signs to follow). - Add something to better block the light on the side of the curtains. They are perfectly light-blocking curtains, except on the side. However, we could very easily block it using the chair against the wall. So not a big deal. - We personally heard zero noise but found some reviews mentioning the heavy door rooms that could benefit from a pneumatic door closer (to prevent them from being slammed) - Smart TV would be great, I like to watch Netflix when I travel for business, by mirroring my phone or laptop connecting to the TV wirelessly (HDMI and USB A are available). We didn't use the TV this time, but I know that it is something I enjoy doing while travelling for business. - replace the USB A sockets on the nightstand walls with USB-C ones. - replace the soap dispensers, which are hard to press and could be more convenient Those things are minors (i just share them to help you do even better) and were compensated so well by the super attentive staff that demonstrated that they actually cared about us as human beings. Dutch hotels and restaurants staff often give us the impression that they are ticking boxes on an instructions checklist rather than paying attention to their customers. We got the exact opposite impression here (asking questions, actively listening to our answers and take action and show that they genuinely care) and it was delightful. Thanks again for making us feel so good in your hotel. Again, you exceeded our expectations. Take care!

Good location (plenty to do around, supermarkets en cinema straight out the door), good breakfast, nice bar with finger food, comfortable room, friendly personell. Slippery shower though, could use an anti slip mat.

Located a 5 minutes walk from the beautiful old town of Amersfoort. Car park under hotel is charged, but managed to get free parking for motorbike. Corporate style hotel, good breakfast, but not cheap

The hotel is very good and well located near the city center. Just the size of the duvet. too small for the bed. The restaurant for the diner is very good. The breakfast is also very good and offer you all you need (sweet or salty food).

Second year we have stayed there. Only comment is for the Room and Reception as we did not eat in the Hotel. Receptionists were all very welcoming when entering and leaving each day.Directions into the town were offered on booking in, and a taxi was ordered on request and arrived within 5 minutes. Plenty of space in the room and all facilities were in good working order and cleaning each day was very good. Some people may find the pillows and mattress a little too firm, but perfect for us. Free safe and wifi provided in the room. A kettle, tea bags and coffee are in the room. Cartons of milk are skimpy but downstairs in the lobby there are unlimited supplies of milk and teas for you to take up as you enter the Hotel. The receptionist explained that only UK clients appeared to put milk in their tea!! The station is about a 10 minutes flat walk to the Hotel. The buses to and from the station also stop outside the Hotel. The walk to the old town is no more than 10 mins

I accidentally booked for the wrong day because when I hit the back arrow it changed the date to the current date. When I called a few days later about the charge they would not move the date to the date I wished to book and I still have not received credit for the billing in your rewards system even though the hotel told me they would give me credit. I am Diamond with Hilton and this will drive me to their properties when I get a choice between Accor and Hilton.

We were greeted with a lovely young lady on reception that couldn't be more helpful if she tried, she is a real credit to the organisation, not only was she efficient but very friendly and accomodating too, it was no problem to her calling us a taxi to where we were wanting to go and made us feel welcome with chit chat as we waited for the taxi to arrive, making an effort to converse in English despite it not being her native tongue. We had the added bonus of a free upgrade to a beautiful priviledge room on the tenth floor where the standard of accomodation was sublime with an amazingly large room immacutely laid out, at no extra cost. We enjoyed all aspects of our stay and found everyone friendly, the breakfast was delicious and good value for money

I am a Platinum member with Accor and stay with them or others. This hotel is very quiet, in the city, food was nice also.Clean rooms and comfi bed. I did sleep like a baby. Everyboy was pleasnt. I will sttay again
