I was charged twice for accommodation, once when I checked in and when I checked out. I was also charged for breakfast when I had a bed and breakfast deal. I sent an email querying this over charging almost 24 hours ago and have not received a response. Not happy.

Comfortable bed nice bedroom good breakfast! Close to amenities and not too far from the old town Plus easy 10 minute walk from the train station (just come out the opposite side to the main entrance)

The hotel was ok, rooms nice and big. The booking names had been mixed up causing a lot of unnecessary confusion on check in. Adapted room - shower leaked badly, not a good bathroom design, toilet brush broken, no soap in container in shower. Car park was biggest scam I have never encountered in any other hotel and I travel weekly for business and ‘live’ in hotels. I totally appreciate having to pay a daily rate for a car park but being told we have to pay a 24 hour rate for overnight and then additionally pay a fee every time we come and go throughout the day (a minimum of €7/8 a time is just extortionist. I was travelling with an elderly relative who was visiting a sick relative receiving end of life care in Amersfoort hospital so we were backwards and forwards between the hospital and the hotel numerous times a day, but it was unacceptable to have to pay €14/17 for a 24 hour rate and then pay every other time we entered in that 24 hours. I phoned the hotel to enquire about car parking before I booked the hotel as I was travelling with someone with mobility issues and I was told the rate of €17 a day which was fine, but in was not given the information about the additional rates. I would not have booked this hotel if I had known beforehand. Unacceptable.

I specifically made a request for a quite room and also called before to make sure it was available and I was promised that the request has been accepted. When I arrived, the staff mentioned, this is the quietest room possible, which was not true because it was really on the side of the busy road and I could hear all the traffic.They refused to let me change the room. The room itself was also not amazing, really soft beds, airconditioning not working.

Nice room and well located. Always nice to see the A-team such as Jalla, Ilayda, Lucy, Jeurgen and Julian. The rest of the staff are always greeting and very helpful. Housekeeping was also very friendly. Small improvements: the soap wasn't fill, below the bed had thrash from previous guests, the hose was not properly inserted, the left light switch at the bed was broken and when they fixed it, the right light switch was broken. And the Internet is very slow.

We chose a Privilege Room for our weekend getaway because we wanted a comfortable, premium stay. Unfortunately, the room quality did not match the upgrade. Sound travels easily between the rooms, and we were kept up by the sound of a television next door. Looking at the walls, there were several patched-up areas fixed with tape, which explains the poor soundproofing. Furthermore, we were disappointed to find that basic amenities were unavailable because the hotel had run out of toothbrushes and toothpaste. The location is excellent, but Mercure needs to ensure their premium rooms actually deliver on premium quality and proper inventory management.
