I love to stay at the Grand Mercure Vila Olimpia. It's my preferred choice not only for the comfort, but also because it's walking distance from other places in my routine: gym, office, shopping mall. This time I've got a warming welcome letter from Mrs. Luciana Nakamura, general manager. I have only one suggestion to make an excellent stay become a great stay: something that I've have been saying for a long time and yet the hotel doesn't pay attention: 1 - the AC cannot be set to below a minimum already pre-set (this time it ws 21,5o Celsius and I wanted 18o), and I wanted it cooler because the bed blanket and cover sheet are stitched together and I feel very hot during the night - all I wanted is to have a simple, plain bed cover sheet, but the customer services says it's impossible because that's the hotel standard - is it hotel standard to make the guest feel hot during the night?? 2) the "premium" room is dark: all furniture is black and the lights are weak, so it's hard to work in the room. Other than that, it's always a pleasure.

The mattress was firmer than in average hotels, which is amazing for those of us who have spine problems. Pillows were much better too. Food was good and people kind.

We were greeted promptly and assisted with our check in by Juliana. She gave us all the information that we needed to be comfortable at the hotel during our stay. Later on in our stay when you need directions, the staff at the front desk was very helpful and available.

I didn't like my room, so dark , i couldn't see inside the closet ...terrible ,not enough light in the room .
