Perfect location by the train station. Older property but immaculate. Such accommodating staff, breakfast was perfect. Only a 5 minute walk to city center and the river. Very quiet.

Staff was incredibly accommodating. Slightly older updated property right opposite the station but extremely quiet. Bedding was clean white cotton, very comfy and cozy. Rooms are perfectly appointed with what one needs. Bar is open 24hrs. We came back from a show at 11:30 PM and as all restaurants were closed, we were offered a pizza or lentil Tajine. The Tajine, with a little French bread was perfect to set us up for a very good night’s sleep. Breakfast was everything you could want from fresh fruit, eggs, all manner of pastries, and bread. We even prepared Brie and fruit baguettes for lunch on the road. Thank you, staff at Ibis Styles

We arrived at around 11 a.m. and parked the car in the secure parking. We returned mid-afternoon after visiting Saumur and its impressive chateau. It is a pleasant 15 minute stroll across the Loire to town, with a great view of the chateau, from the hotel. We stayed in this hotel before, in 2013. It was excellent then and nothing has changed since (except, if I remember correctly, the parking wasn’t secure back then). The room and bathroom were spotless. This time our room was at the back. Last time it was at the front. Zero noise from the street or from trains, front or back. We got a good night's sleep. Breakfast is excellent, top quality fare. Staff are friendly. There was a water fountain near reception dispensing fizzy as well as plain water. We will definitely be back!
