One of the best Mercure hotels I have stayed in. Our standard room was spacious and very comfortable with a beautiful view across the river to Saumur castle. The hotel has a huge, gorgeous lounge area and a terrace for drinks. There is free parking in a private car park about 100 metres from the hotel or an underground garage which you have to pay for. Breakfast was excellent - the whole experience was excellent. My only complaint would be that there were no teabags in the room, only coffee.
