the hotel is located close to the centre of the town, the bed was comfortable, the staff are friendly and helpful, the hotel is a little tired and would benefit with a decoration. Would stay again.

The position in Angers is very good. My wife and I had a good time in spite of the COVID restrictions and the fact that the kitchen ran out of eggs for breakfast one day.

A little too sparse

Friendly staff, good location. The bed was not very comfortable, and the body impressions suggest it could be ready to be replaced. I know this was a budget stay, but a second small towel would have been nice, as would some kleenex and electrical outlets in the bathroom, and on the other side of the bed.

Good experience

The stay at the IBIS Angers Center was comfortable; the breakfast was good, the staff was friendly. It would be good though if the IBIS hotels also offered more English channels on TV in the room (for non French speakers), as well as a coffee maker in the room.

Dated decor, electricity stopped working in first room and we had to be moved, shower took a very long time to warm up, no electric sockets near bed, no bathroom in ventilation and there was what looked like mold on the door

We have stayed here for a single night on several occasions as the hotel is convenient for an event we attend in the city centre. We have always found the rooms to be comfortable and good considering the price. The staff are invariably pleasant and helpful. The rooms and public areas are clean but the decoration in some of the corridors is looking tired. There was a good choice of items for breakfast. There was a baggage room where we could leave our case after check-out and this was very useful.

This was my 3rd visit in 12 months to this hotel which is very convenient for visiting my parents in Angers. Hotel merits its 3 star accreditation. Will be back later in the year.

Friendly staff, centrally located but quiet and close to the river.

Tired & Old Ibis - again

Our room, as always, was very small and was quite smelly ?? A sign of the age is that it is still carpeted when most modern hotels have wood flooring. The mattress was very thin ? and quite uncomfortable. Good location hoswever

Good location; bike friendly

kev p Couples - 20/05/2019 TripAdvisor review

We stayed here on the Velo Francette and were delighted to find bike racks inside the hotel. Check in was excellent and the room comfortable with a good shower. A hearty breakfast the next morning. One downside was that although we had a room at the back, the locals aren’t the quietest- not the hotels fault of course.

Well located and comfortable stopping point

We had booked this hotel at short notice following cancellation of our Portsmouth - Santander crossing. The only problem in locating the hotel was extensive road works in the area surrounding the hotel, arriving after dark didn't help! The staff were very friendly and our room was comfortable

Shame about the roadworks!

TV1_2_12 Couples - 12/07/2018 TripAdvisor review

We've stayed at this hotel twice in the past. Access was easy and there was a public car park opposite the hotel entrance. This time we stayed on our way home after a holiday further south. I had checked in online a few days before arriving. The hotel was therefore aware we were coming by car. No contact was made about the horrendous roadworks going on outside the hotel. We ended up the wrong way in what is now a temporary one way street. When we finally managed to check in we were given a room overlooking the roadworks (where work was still going on). One set (!) of earplugs had thoughtfully been provided. There was however no problem in changing rooms to one at the rear. Why we couldn't have been given this in the first place we don@t know.

Good Hotel

Construction work is limiting the space in the car park opposite the hotel but there is a free car park about a 15 minute walk away on the other side of the river. Otherwise very convenient and comfortable hotel with places to visit within walking distance.

Don't stay here in September or probably May, I'll tell you why.

TripAdvisor rating 2.0/5

USExpatinfrance Business - 02/10/2017 TripAdvisor review

In September and May in France it is just getting hot enough to be too hot in your room. Not a big deal, you can always open your window right? Well, if you like being a meal for the mosquito's or you don't mind the heavy noise from the streets then go right ahead. This hotel is near the highway and right next to a busy street. Furthermore, there is a lot of construction in the area. It's not bad if you gotta wake up at 5am. These are essentially your options when staying here in September or in May. This hotel essentially turns off the AC these months. Sometimes they are cold enough months to not have to open a window, but usually they are not. Good luck getting any of the hotel staff to empathize with you as well, they seriously don't care. I'd stay here again but never in those months, or if it's just unusually hot.

Excellent hotel in centre of Angers

Excellent clean modern hotel. In a great position by the river and the centre if Angers. Easy parking opposite the hotel. It was a very clean and quiet room. We had an extra bed in the room for our daughter and it was comfortable.

Stayed on the 5th floor and room was pleasant, clean and spacious. Hotel personnel were very courteous and friendly. Breakfast buffet was also complete and varied. Would definitely recommend. Thank you very much!

Excellent location, clean & tidy

Ruth L Couples - 21/09/2015 TripAdvisor review

This hotel is situated on the river front, a ten minute walk from the castle. I understand that it has been recently refurbished and has the same generic Ibis look of the chain, so no surprises! Room and bathroom was clean although it did look out on a residential courtyard which was a bit noisy later in the evening. Easy walk to the castle and town centre. One slight downer is the restaurant where we ate in the evening. Although the food was ok, tasty and well presented, the area lacked a bit of atmosphere. Breakfast was quite a different kettle of fish! There was this one woman that kept bringing fresh stuff out of the kitchen and shouting about it. Funny at first but after 5 or 6 times, I was ready to ask her to put a sock in it. Nice to know that there's fresh bread etc and that you can try the latest agave drink but bit much when you're still on your first coffee! Other than that, I would recommend it as a hotel
