My wife and I stayed in a New York loft room for our 13th wedding anniversary. The room was much larger than I had anticipated, along with being incredibly well appointed. The quality and consistency of the room fit out and furnishings was incredibly high, giving a sense of elegance and warmth not found in many hotels. The room was much quieter than I had anticipated, given we were next to North Terrace. We used in room dinning one night, as the room was so quiet and intimate. The staff were helpful and accommodating. We quickly checked out the gym and pool, with the gym looking well appointed and spaced. With newish machinery. The pool while no natural light, still have a nice quiet area and deck chairs. I'd highly recommend for couples looking for an intimate experience.

I was disappointed when I had booked what I thought would be a nice room and it faced the courtyard/atrium. There was a constant noice from that space and it meant the room was quite dark. I din't recall the outlook of the room being mentioned when I booked as I would've chosen differently.

The Playford is my favourite hotel in Australia and is my home away from home. The location, amenities and rooms are all first-class and the staff are 'top-shelf'. My only issue, and I have mentioned this before, is that the dinner menu, whilst delicious, is very limited in its range. This has caused me to sometimes look elsewhere for dinner.

Breakfast and front desk staff were amazing. I booked six rooms. Everyone very satisfied except for my room and 1 other. We were in the New York loft room. Stairs were noisy and it felt like hard work
