The computer system that allows entry was broken. The intercom that was meant to connect to someone who could help didn't work. Neither did the phone number. We had to walk to the Ibis over the river with two small children at 10pm to try and resolve this, which was successful. When we arrived in the room one of the beds wasn't made so we had to put the sheets on ourselves - meaning our children didn't get to sleep until 11pm. So the experience was less than ideal.

We arrived at the Ibis Budget Saint-Dié-des-Vosges at 10 pm and found there was no receptionist, and the self-check-in machine was out of order. We had to go to the other Ibis hotel across the street to get a solution. Additionally, on the third day of our stay, only two bath towels were left in the room for four people, one bed was left unmade, and there was no toilet paper. Since there is no receptionist after 10 pm, we had to stay in these conditions. Very disappointing experience.

First tie at Saint Die and the town was lovely. We opted for the Ibis Budget to save a little money and initial impressions were great. The hotel is in a lovely riverside position, the reception was welcoming and the newly refinished room wonderful. We had a comfy nights sleep and went down for breakfast. Breakfast was disappointing. It had been advertised as “all you can eat” but we didn’t want to eat much of it. The choice was limited and the quality of the food on offer was decidedly poor. It spoiled our stay. In comparison, the next night we stopped at Ibis Como and the breakfast was magnificent.
