The hotel overall was fine, and I understand the "budget" concept. That being said, I was fairly disappointed; the hotel location would be great if we were coming in by train but it's a bit far to walk to other parts of the city and not really close to anything. The rooms are incredibly bare, with very little furniture other than a bed, and the shower being in the room was odd. If I had the choice, I don't believe I would stay in this hotel again and would likely not recommend it.

Regarding the location, it is true that we are ideally situated for train travelers, but we also understand how proximity to specific attractions can influence overall satisfaction — thank you for pointing this out. The city center is only a 5 min walk as well as the harbourcity. You can reach the Alster and the town hall in 15 min walking distance... My family and I stayed for two nights and while the hotel covers the necessities, it feels somewhat below average even for a "budget" establishment. The pillows given - and it's just one per person - might be the smallest pillows I've ever seen; the room itself is incredibly bare-bones; and the location feels a bit far from the desired sites (though close to the train station).

Generally well and as expected. Only big minus is that there are no power sockets reachable from the bed, which is quite inconvenient and outdated. Would still come again since the rest was very good.

I really find ibis hotels great value for money but the heating is on too high and that kept me awake, this is why I put a 6
