Nice hotel currently undergoing renovation. We got to stay in one of the freshly renovated rooms and it was great! The bunk bed was a hit with kids and the bathroom was well built. The hotel is only 10 minutes walk away from the train station and you can easily get to Hafen-City in 15 minutes. One thing that I would improve is breakfast selection: while the staff was friendly and hard-working and there was plenty of bread, sausages, and sweets to choose from, the healthy food options were more limited.

The hotel overall was fine, and I understand the "budget" concept. That being said, I was fairly disappointed; the hotel location would be great if we were coming in by train but it's a bit far to walk to other parts of the city and not really close to anything. The rooms are incredibly bare, with very little furniture other than a bed, and the shower being in the room was odd. If I had the choice, I don't believe I would stay in this hotel again and would likely not recommend it.

The city center is only a 5 min walk as well as the harbourcity. You can reach the Alster and the town hall in 15 min walking distance...
