Very friendly staff, tidy modern room. Great location near the trains and walking distance to main streets. We would have liked a kettle to get a cup of coffee in the room, and extra pillows.

The room was basic and the service was ok

Dear Mr. B., Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I am glad that our central location was convenient for your stay. However, I am very sorry to hear that several aspects of your room and service did not meet your expectations, including the issues with the iron, fridge, water temperature, and the shower hinge. Please rest assured that we take your comments very seriously and will review these matters to ensure improvements are made. Furthermore you can borrow an iron and board for 10 Euro deposit. It is no charge. We appreciate your feedback as it helps us enhance the experience for all our guests. The Ibis Hotel Hamburg City is housed in a modern, recently constructed building, offering rooms that are generally decent in size and cleanliness. The core structural amenities of the hotel are solid, providing a functional base for a city stay. However, the overall comfort and service experience fell short. The bedding proved problematic, specifically the poor quality of the pillows, which significantly detracted from the quality of sleep. More notably, the staff interaction was disappointing; the personnel were perceived as unengaging and rude, undermining the hospitality aspect of the stay. While the physical premises are new and adequate, the hotel needs considerable improvement in guest services and sleeping comfort.
