Very nice hotel in a central location Public transport very close by. Rooms are clean and nicely done. As Hamburg is considered a Port city hotel is themed as such which was a nice touch. Only thing that surprised me was no kettle or coffee machine in the room

I had booked using my points, but the staff tried to charge me full price. Not expecting such procedure or attitude as my booking was saying points + $$.

Friendly staff, clean hotel, good food, extensive breakfast buffet, good conference rooms. One minor criticism – the toilets and washbasins in the conference area are very low, at least in the ladies' room. People with back/hip/knee problems will find this difficult.

First, I was assigned a room on the first floor, even though I had specifically requested a quiet room on the top floor in my reservation note. Upon check-in, I was told that the first-floor room was an upgrade, so I accepted it. However, the room turned out to be exactly what I had originally booked — a so-called “Privilege Room” with a quiet location and daily replenishment of soft drinks. I was also informed that there would be no cleaning service on the second day of my stay, which I accepted. However, the room was not cleaned on the third day either, and the minibar was not refilled. In other words, none of the promised benefits of the “Privilege Room” were actually provided. What concerned me most, though, was that the room was located directly above the kitchen, where work began early each morning and was very noisy. As a result, I barely slept. The only positive aspect of this hotel—which I will make sure to avoid on future trips to Hamburg—was the restaurant staff. Therefore, my rating is two points out of ten.
