Nice but no very personal and warm. Employees not unkind but not very warm either

A lovely stay in Hamburg. Nice hotel - but VERY close to the trains. Because of Christmas there were many people, but every was fine

Good location near main railway station. Room would havebeen better with tea and coffee making facilities.

I had an easy time booking on line and once there the check-in at the hotel was warm, quick and helpful. The hotel is very centrally located so all the sights were easy to access for us first time tourists. At breakfast there were a lot of choices and we found everything to our liking. The only disappointment was that there were no English tv programs to watch in the evening.

I requested a quiet room (which I received), the layout was excellent (effectively behind 3 doors) which ensured that the room was quiet. Prices at the bar very competitive

High price - low service Arrived friday afternoon - used hotels underground parking. Breakfast saturday morning was really bad - no mugs, no glasses, no juice, very limited buffet - so we asked for a refund for the breakfast and got it - went to a restaurant nearby and had breakfast. The room was okay but only one towel each person Left sunday morning and had to pay for 3 days of parking even though we were there for less than 48 hours. Staff is very young - some seemed to be more concerned about there own looks than helping and serving the guests. We have stayed several times at this hotel, but this will be the last time ever.

Good, but in hindsight would next time ask for a room facing away from railway line. We missed breakfast because the staff were overwhelmed by the numbers and could not cope with the demand. Basically bad planning. Information on meal times, and about services within the hotel missing from the room, so had to phone reception for help. Paying 2.50 Euro for a tea as a guest is excessive to say the least. The air-conditioning in the room did not work, or it just heated up a room which was already too hot for my comfort.

We have stayed in Alster centrum several times because it is close to Xmas markets and central railstation. We miss possibility to make coffee/tea in the room. Only one towel per person is not enough. The food choices in the restaurant are very scarce. Staff is very friendly

Very good. The staff did what they could to solve one important problem. And they made it.

Overall an enjoyable stay, however breakfast on the Saturday morning was complete and utter chaos. Insufficient tables, no hot food available and when it was people swarmed on and there wasn’t enough of it to meet the demand. Waiting 20 minutes for rolls and plates and cutlery had to be asked for on numerous occasions. The staff were working very hard but were unable to cope. There were no issues the rest of the mornings.

I missed a shoehorn, as it is very useful and I also missed to possibility to drink tea in my room. apart from that everything was good.

the front side of the hotel is quite loudy. Im not bothered by it, but there is not much done to isolate the windows to reduce the street noise.

Had a really comfortable night with friendly staff that are helpful when required. Breakfast had a reasonable selection of items.

The hotel is good, room is clean and comfortable, attending Ibis standards. The bar is good, and i had a good time in Hamburg and the hotel. The problem was the front desk. Upon arrival i learned that my reservation had been cancelled and they could only accommodate me if i paid a second time and seek reimbursement later via requesting it through email to their management. Over 10 after matter still not a single response from hotel. I am afraid i may have lost over 100 euros and strongly suggest extreme caution to anyone going to this property as they seem to be having a major management problem. I am member of accor silver, love the brand but unfortunately it seems like not all hotels hold the same level of quality as others...

I found the staff to be friendly and the room to be modern an clean. Breakfast is very good, although an additional coffee machine would be an improvement. Location of this hotel could not be better.
