I stayed for 2 nights wit my mother. The receptionists were very helpful and did their best. We were very happy to be greeted with a a birthday-wish card written in my mother's native language. Thanks for the kind manner and time spent. The breakfast was very good. The location was satisfactory-in vicinity to many touristic sites.

The carpets in the room were a bit dirty, and the fact that we had to pay for a locker after check out for our luggage was a bit disappointing, after paying so much for the stay. There were no extra pillows in the room which was uncomfortable. The room was quite hot during the night with no way to adjust it. The staff was nice most of the time.

I was in Hamburg over a weekend for work. The Ibis is very close to the train station and within easy walking distance of shops, museums and the lovely Alster. The rooms are small but clean and well laid out, rooms in the front can be loud due to traffic noise.

Power went out during final night which wasn't great, communication from night porter and customers wasn't great with a crowded reception trying to work out what was going on
