Pervasive chemical smell, apparently no hoovering of the room, mould in the corner of the shower basin, dated and scuffed interior, in need of repair - but well located and warm (although we did not dare to touch what looked like the thermostat, as it seemed to have some sellotape applied to it).

We stayed at the hotel in April with our child. We really liked the room; it was comfortable and cozy, with enough space for everyone. I'd also like to especially commend the staff, especially Bogdan's professionalism, who handled our check-in and check-out very quickly and provided all the necessary information about the city's attractions. The breakfast at the hotel was excellent—I highly recommend it, especially for families with children. We'll stay at the Ibis Alster Centrum again next time. See you in Hamburg.

I genuinely enjoyed my recent stay at the Ibis Alster Centrum. The reception staff were wonderfully friendly and welcoming from the moment I arrived, which always sets the perfect tone for a trip. The room itself was very clean, well-maintained, and comfortable overall. I do have two small points of constructive feedback. First, the work desk was a bit dirty and seemed to have been missed during housekeeping, though the rest of the room was spotless. Second, while it is appreciated that the hotel offers free WiFi, the connection speed was unfortunately quite slow during my stay. Despite these minor details, it was a very positive experience overall, and I will certainly be returning on my next visit!
