While everything was quite nice and welcoming, the elevator on our side of the building (room 204) was not working properly. And the shower temperature kept going from boiling to very cold every 10 to 30 seconds which made showering quite uncomfortable.

Small but clean rooms. Perfect for a base to travel from. Very close to waterfront. Great staff. Stored our luggage all day, while we went sightseeing, for late night flight. A kettle in the room for tea coffee would have been good. Towels were really thin.

The only issue I would've liked a resolution on is I had booked for 3 nights as I had a workshop in Hamburg. The workshop was concluded in 2 days so I checked out one day earlier. It would've been nice if the one night could've been credit for sometime later as I travel to hamburg often.

The location, lounge, and breakfast were all good. However, the room was a bit too dusty, and the elevator didn't seem to be working properly. As a result, I ended up using the emergency exit a couple of times instead.

My stay at this hotel was fine. My negative comments relate to another stay at the Ibis Styles Kiel, which was sold from the Accor portfolio without telling me. Although they honoured my booking - I had paid for it in advance - there were none of the loyalty benefits. Very shoddy treatment of a loyal Platinum card holder.

It is in walking distance to the the main rail-station. But I would call more a hostel than a hotel!
