Staff was really nice. Not the room was like being in a basement and very dark.

The reservation was not registered in the system ( but correct in my app...), Several times we were told Ibis was "overbooked". Did not get the rooms as reserved. We had the feeling it was "assembly line" and mainly for business people even though we have been coming here trough 25 years. It is fine with renovating but there was the same dust in the hallway every day. Not enough places in the restaurant anymore.

We enjoyed our stay at IBIS centrum Alster Hamburg, we felt welcomed upon arrival from kind staff at reception, we were pleased with the parking under the hotel. Breakfast buffet was great. We were in walking distance to all the places that wanted to visit, all in all a very good stay that we expect to repeat.

Friendly staff Ugly room Overpriced at 240€ a night - not even a mini fridge or bottle of water in the room - it seemed like a real budget hotel but to compare - the next night I stayed at a fabulous small hotel vorbach for 140€ which was Stylish and elegant
