It was our first stay at this hotel and a lovely experience. We loved the location at the end of the parc, from which it was an easy walk into town along the promenade des Pyrenees. The beds were firm and really comfy, the bathroom superb, the staff were all really friendly and professional. We had cocktails and salads on our last night at the Grand Prix Café which were really tasty and generous. The spa was nice and relaxing when there weren’t any kids jumping in the water and being noisy. That’s my only negative point - the spa should be staffed to avoid such issues or there should be some slots for adults only.

The room is great and we love the decor. The hotel is extremely comfortable and everything was fine. We did have trouble finding parking on arrival and some cars were taking up more than one space! We were upset with an extra fee to use the pool and gym facilities.

Friendly staff, good service, clean and comfortable rooms with great showers. On the downside we have been using this hotel since 2012 and changing the pool access over to a pay for use model is a big step backwards, not something I would expect from a 5 star hotel and not something thats publicised on the website. We use this hotel as a stop over on our way to Spain and time spent relaxing in the pool was always something the family looked forward to

Pau was a revalation. Loved the town and within reach of Pyrenees for fabulous walking. Hotel wasn’t the prettiest, but rooms were lovely and staff extremely helpful and friendly. Thankyou.

From booking to check out this hotel has been a wonderful experience. It was our second stay and it did not disappoint.
The suite was extremely comfortable with a spacious lounge area and balcony/terrace. The bathroom was delightful with everything provided from a dressing room complete with dressing table, a fully stocked fridge, bath robes and slippers, bathroom products and a host of useful holiday items including a spare hairbrush which was so good for me as I mislaid mine.
The rooms were serviced efficiently and expeditiously every day. Every evening saw a turn down service that never failed to please.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner were a delight. Food was provided fresh each time with soft boiled eggs being both hot and perfectly cooked.
The Spa and swimming pool were welcome retreats from a very hot week of temperatures in the 40s.
Nothing was too much trouble and all our requests were met with a smile and efficiency.
We would like to thank the staff for their exemplary service and recommend this hotel to discerning travellers who are looking for a relaxing and luxurious stay.

Not what I expected from a hotel that is affiliated with Sofitel brands.To many issues with the rooms, eg to hot.
I will not advise a gym when there’s barely any thing to work out with.

Dear Madam,
We sincerely sorry to read the comfort of the hotel did not suit you.
You reserved for standard room, and when you stepped in you immediately asked for a free upgrade.
We upgraded you in superior room for free , and you informed us AC was not enough cold. We upgraded you then to a suite fro free to apologize about that. The two room moves where made within 2h, just before your first night of a stay of three.
Upon check-out, you informed us, AC of the suite you occupied was not working good. We called a technician after you left the hotel, to fix an eventual disfunction. Temperature was about 20°C at minimum in the suite, for an outdoor temperature of 35°C. According healthy advises and ecological procedure to respect environement, a 10°C less difference is indicated. We were about 15°C less in your room during this exceptional heat wave we are facing in France.
We absolutely understand it was not sufficient for you, but for each inquiry we gave an immediate answer to offer the best comfort. Considering also climate respect procedure engaged in our hotel, the fulfilment of our teams to offer the best service, we hope we reach the Mgallery (Accor group hotel brand as Sofitel) hospitality goals.
We always try to provide the best to our clients, and we are constantly congratulated for, satisfaction is our only objective.
