Hotel was ok, room was alright, staff were friendly, hot breakfast items could have done with not being empty.

We had to stay in this hotel due to the Fire in Bourdeaux, and it was a blessing in disguise. The room was confortable, the breakfast pretty decent, and the best thing, the kindness of the recepcionists! If we have to stay in Pau again, or in Villeneuve d´Ornon, we will definitely repeat!

Great staff - very helpful and friendly. Shower was good, bed comfortable. Good parking - at least for small cars. Main issue was the air conditioning in the bedroom was inadequate for the heat.

Our room was comfortable and very clean. As other reviewers have noted it was on the small side but was perfectly fine for one night. A special mention to the lady who checked us in. She was helpful and engaging throughout and made us very welcome. The hotel is very well located in the town centre.

The hotel is in a central location in Pau with lots of bars, restaurants and historical buildings within easy walking distance. The staff are friendly and helpful and made check in a breeze. They have an underground parking garage which is handy for motorcycles. The room was spacious and comfortable, ideal for one night or a few days. Would definitely recommend it.

Location was fabulous - 100 meters for Les Halles. Nothing gratis except the water - which a sign on the checkin desk proclaimed. When I asked about it, I was told "tap water is free and good to drink". Really? Coffee would have been nice. We did not opt for breakfast because it was 14 Euro and a short walk to Les Halles provided many options.

Location was ideal and the staff were all very professional and helpful when required. But the room was far smaller (and darker) than was comfortable, with the en-suite so tiny that the sink had to be installed next to the bed... Far from ideal. Parking is limited in number and in terms of access so, you may have to reserve in advance. If you have a large car you will not be able to navigate the access ramp which was difficult even in a Golf. The night I stayed, someone smoking in their room triggered the fire alarm and we had to evacuate the building at 1:30am - which I never really recovered from. Not a great experience overall.

Room was small but clean. Dated and needs update. Biggest problem: only 1 outlet. Front staff friendly. Location good. If you decide to stay here and want the breakfast, try it once to see if you're comfortable with the state of the breakfast room before shelling out for your whole visit. Les Halles are close-by and have a lot on offer.
