The hotel is next to the metro station (S1, S2, S25, S26) and it is a 15 minute walk from Potsdamer Platz, a 7 minute walk form Checkpoint Charlie, and a 5 minute walk from the Topography of Terror. There are restaurants near and within walking distance from the hotel. Lobby is very stylish and reception staff was friendly and responsive. My family and I had breakfast in the hotel and it was wonderful as it had a large variety and serving staff was very friendly and helpful. In addtiton, the price for the breakfast was very reasonable (17 euros per adult). Unfortunately, rooms are not the best as they lacked cleanliness and had limited amenities such as towels, pillows, and glasses. The beds were the worst part as they were old, hard, and sunken which sometimes made sleep difficult. Overall, great location and breakfast, but rooms need serious improvement and more cleanliness.

Friendly and helpful staff, well-designed, quiet room and comfortable bed, plus a good breakfast to energize you for a day at the Staatsbibliothek. I was checked in early (when I just wanted to leave my suitcase), offered a free mug of hot tea when I came back cold, given advice - everything went smoothly. The only thing I would suggest improving is a hint of wastewater smell when using the washbasin.
