I booked this hotel for a friend and myself so that we could visit the Berlin Christmas Markets...the hotel is conveniently located 10 mins walk from Potzdamer plaza, and only 1 min from the "S" subway line. The hotel is clean and the rooms are spacious enough, but could do with an update to allow charging direct from USB ports. My only disappointment was the WC in my room, needs a good clean as there is a lot of black staining on the water line.

The room that I booked based on the pictures of the room that were on your very own website, was not offered to me. I was given a room that was way more cheap and uncomfortable than the one that i booked. The bathroom was designed for the disabled but was very inconvenient for me, who is not disabled and didn’t request such a room. When i wanted to change my room, i requested this from the following people at the reception: a russian lady, a turkish lady called berfin and another turkish lady who is the manager imren/imran was her name. These three frowned upon my request, did not help me at all. And on top of that they were very aggressive towards me. Upon my rightful request, they answered at a high pich and in a mocking manner. They all told me:”we are only a two star hotel, what did you expect?” They denied helping me in anyway and also aggressively defended themselves that the hotel was full and that i was being senseless. This was the worst and most horrible hotel experience that i have ever lived. And the reason is their uncivilized behavior. I don’t want to get service from an institution that employs such incompetent, unqualified and uncivilized individuals. However the other two guys from afghanistan; especially Shaker, was of great help. He changed my room on the second day, and they approached me in a friendly and helpful manner. But i regret to inform you that this experience deeply saddened me and therefore i won’t be ever staying at any of the hotels of the All Accor group. My family and friends have already been warned and they will be cautious about their future plans as well.

The location was great, the rooms, although small, were tidy and clean. What’s missing is coffee or tea in the room. It’s clear that the Ibis concept isn’t like that, but this small gesture makes a big difference to the stay.
