The lady at the reception during the morning shift was really rude. we were a group of 5 people who booked the room for 8 days. we had flight of around 18 hours and when we arrived at Leuven we were really tired, we were at the hotel 1 hour early and we request the receptionist to provide us at least 1 room so that we can freshen up and she straight away denied us the room. when we came back after 30 mins she was already started assigning rooms to other people. if we booked a room for 8 days we would expect a complementary water bottle for each day just like the first day and we were denied the water bottle as well. there are no vegetarian or Vegan option in the menu for breakfast. our room bookings included breakfast and the only thing which we were able to ear was juice and fruits. The lady the reception was really really rude to the entire group. apart from her the other staff members were really polite and helpful.

Before arriving at Novotel Leuven, I contacted the hotel regarding early check-in and was told they would help “depending on availability.” However, upon arrival, I was unexpectedly asked to pay an extra fee for it. Charging for early check-in is understandable, but this should have been communicated clearly beforehand. Had I known this in advance, I might have chosen another hotel. What disappointed me even more was the attitude of the staff. Instead of offering any apology or empathy for the misunderstanding, I was simply told to come back at regular check-in time. Unfortunately, the overall experience did not feel welcoming or customer-oriented.

I feel there is a lot Novotel have to improve, Not good regular service, laundry service was there but different staff is saying different things, apart from water bottle was not given on 2nd day to last day of my stay, even though paid all charge same for every day.

Hair drier was broken so I couldn't dry my hair in the morning which was unexpected. There was no welcoming bottle of water. Old TV switch on randomly during the night with grey screen which scared me a lot. Overall the furniture and carpets looks damaged and tired. It feels like renovation is needed urgently.

Overall nice hotel. Good variety breakfast with sufficient opening hours, minibar available in room, room and bathroom nicely designed. 24/7 gym available. Nice staff at the reception, at the bar and housekeeping. Some room for improvement; better pillows can be provided, they were very soft and split into two pieces (on the inside). The bathroom fan is always on, even when the light is switched off and it is loud. Adding some more variety to the Gourmet Bar menu would help, some more starter options, more desserts and especially chips/fries in Belgium. The TV in the room is old and rather small, that can be improved to a Smart TV, starting with the executive rooms. Cleaning of the reception/breakfast area can take place before/after the breakfast opening times, there was a hoover running every day during my breakfast.
