Perfect stay close to the airport

I was recommended Novotel Brussels Airport from an acquaintance who enjoyed their stay. The close proximity to the airport was awesome enough, but then I see there's also a free airport shuttle, and that sealed the deal. And the shuttle was easy to find at the airport. Both rides I took were on time, which is of great importance when it comes to catching a flight. It comes by often, too, and this made planning my pick up and drop off times a breeze. Then I get to the check in desk and the great experience continued. Receptionist was kind and welcoming while also working quick and efficiently. The receptionist when I checked out was the same way. Checking out is a breeze, just drop the key in the designated box. I wanted to double check which side of the road the shuttle would pick up on and she was kind and helpful in answering. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable, plenty of sockets around the room to get things charged up, for multiple people. The bed was a little squeaky when I initially sat on it and I worried it would be an annoyance, but then I didn't hear it again the rest of the night. Mattress is on the firmer side (but the good kind of firm!) and several very comfortable pillows. Bathroom had basic toiletries, toilet room is separate from the shower and sink area, and if I remember correctly there were four towels 👍🏼 A selection of teas along with an electric kettle, coffee, sugar and powder creamer were provided and a bottle of mineral water was also complimentary. The sitting area was cozy and I found the couch very comfy for lounging. There's area available to store luggage. And what I found interesting that I don't see in most hotels is that there is an "inside door" to the bedroom. You can close that door to have separation from the bathrooms and closet area. I didn't try any of the food while I was there, which was a bummer. I'll have to check it out next time. Because I definitely plan to stay here again when I eventually return to Belgium. I had a great experience and have no reason to look for any place else. I highly recommend staying here if you'll be flying in/out of Brussels.

Overall good stay and the staff were excellent but the bed was not comfortable- mattress was thin and the bed squeaked when I moved.
