We needed a place within easy reach of the Edinburgh attractions, rooms are more than adequate, we didn't book breakfast, as ate local, our only gripe was inconsiderate guests who were load wen going to their rooms, & the noise of doors slamming. Would I use this hotel again.... Most definitely

We arrived way before official check in with the intention of just storing our luggage until time so we could go out. The staff on the desk were so helpful and happy, they found a pair of rooms already ready so checked us in there and then. Next morning we found we had a problem trying to get heat out of the room vent. They sent the maintenance guy up the second he clocked in almost. Very friendly and efficient bloke. Then when we checked out we were able to get our bags stored for a few hours until we were ready to head to the airport, again staff tripping over themselves to assist. Excellent all round. Coming back soon!!!

Naved A Friends getaway - TripAdvisor review

Nice hotel & very centrally located. Good dining options nearby. We stayed at the Ibis next to it as well but this hotel was the best option. Room was very cosy & bigger in size. We had the best time at the bar & Euan was very energetic and cheerful.

We had great time, the room was clean, the breakfast was very good and the people who work in the restaurant were very helpful!! The location of the hotel is excellent, is near to Edinburgh University and very close to the Royal Mile area !!

Noise is horrific

Room is clean but don't expect to sleep if your a light sleeper. Boom boom boom and vibration from a nightclub at back is horrific , even with the windows shut and air conditioning on and we are still awake with an early taxi back to the airport. Would not recommend staying here. The hotel should advertise the noise/vibration can be heard in back rooms its certainly an issue. The closer rooms must be horrendous. On top of that bottles smashing into bins, when club empties them, screaming and shouting people. We have travelled to many hotels around the world and this is our 1st time in Edinburgh, we are really angry and upset. False advertising you will get a great sleep.
