Central hotel, on arrival reception staff were extremely polite and helpful. During my three night stay - all staff were friendly and helpful. My room was clean, carpets throughout need replacing as looking worn and shabby in places. Breakfast - a good selection and well presented.

Good location for site seeing Old Town. Front desk personnel were very helpful and friendly. Room was cleaned and very nice accommodations. Would stay there again if in the neighborhood.

Room very basic, beds very uncomfortable, we paid 700 euros for 3 nights terrible value, breakfast terrible was an extra 13 pounds per person, lukewarm at best, bacon was white not cooked, only egg option scrambled, avoid this hotel, very bad value for money, definitely won’t be back.

Room is severely lacking in outlets. There are no outlets for plugins by the bed for instance. We had a problem with the plumbing and although reported, it was not taken care of until I complained a second and third time and demanded either it be fixed or our room be moved. They had no maintenance people on staff after 4 pm. Just two desk people. Not enough in a hotel of that size. Again, it was a great location, but there are so many other hotels also with better amenities. I would not repeat a visit at the Ibis in Edinburgh.
