This hotel is not for a family. There is no privacy at all, no lock for WC and Shower. This place is okay for singles or a couple who miss the flight and or staying for overnight stay only to catch up the next day flight. Aeroplane noise is super extreme as airport is only two stops aways. The aree is a ghetto. In the room there is no refrigerator, no coffee machine, no iron, no amenities. As I said earlier only good to sleep (no children as there is no privacy). If you can afford a little bit more then I would suggest to stay at the normal hotel and avoid this place. No hard feelings to IBIS Budget Team. This is a Ryanair of Hotels.

Coming in on the train from afar and arriving later in the day, the Ibis works perfectly as a place to crash, easily grab a snack or drink and be ready for a very easy two-stop ride on the tram the next morning to Zurich Airport. Can also take such a tram to The Circle (also at the airport) in the evening for a more sophisticated drink or bite to eat (e.g. Iris Bar) but the Ibis Budget Zurich Airport really has everything you need to be ready for the next day's flight. The room is small, as you'd expect, but dark, cool and functional. 24-hour reception and food/drink counter is a plus.

Our stay at ibis budget Zurich Airport was very disappointing. We had booked our stay well in advance through the hotel's official website. The day before our arrival, we completed the online check-in after receiving an email stating that by doing so we would be able to "get your key straight away." According to the hotel's information, both in the email and on its official website, check-in starts at 3:00 p.m. We arrived at 2:50 p.m., but by 3:30 p.m. we still had not received our room key. To make matters worse, the charge for our one-night stay had been processed twice (once on June 25 and again on the morning of our arrival, June 30). The reception staff were unable to confirm the duplicate payment for quite some time and eventually had to consult a more experienced colleague. During all this time, we were simply asked to wait, with very little concern shown for the situation, while being told that our room was still being cleaned. After waiting for more than 45 minutes, I approached the receptionist again and firmly explained our concerns. I also showed her my son's disability card. I had deliberately chosen not to mention it earlier, but after seeing the lack of urgency and concern, I felt it was necessary. Only then did the staff take action. They resolved the duplicate payment issue and, about 15 minutes later, informed us that our room was finally ready. As compensation, we were offered complimentary parking and free breakfast, which we appreciated. However, the room we were assigned was an accessible room for guests with disabilities, and it seemed clear that it had been given to us in haste simply to resolve the situation. It was not properly prepared: there were bed linens and pillows for only two guests instead of four, and the sofa bed had not been opened or made up. Unfortunately, our experience was made even worse by the behavior of one of the breakfast staff. While I was taking a clean plate from the back of a stack of plates, he told me that only staff members were allowed in that area and threatened that if I did it again, he would "throw me out of the breakfast room." I would like to point out that I had not entered a restricted room or staff-only area. I simply picked up a plate from the back of the counter instead of the front, and there was no sign or indication whatsoever that guests were not allowed to access that part of the counter. We have been traveling for more than 20 years, have visited over 20 countries, and have stayed in everything from two-star to five-star hotels, as well as hostels and Airbnb properties. We have never encountered such poor organization, lack of customer care, and unacceptable behavior anywhere else.
