Went to check in approimately 10 mins past 3 pm on 3rd November. We, both female, were place at a room located at level -1, below ground level. A level with current rooms being renovated on. There were plastic sheets taped on the corridor and some fie rooms or so open with a trolley filled with renovation or repairs stuff. A couple of men were there working on the rooms. There were no other guests being placed there when we lft for dinner at 5 pm nor at 8 pm when we return to our room. Windows cant be open cause we were so near the grass level that we were afraid of insects jumping/fly into the room. Welcome drink, neither the front desk mention we could have a drink. My friend accidently took a glass of water there near the front desk and one lady mentioned to her that it was for guests ? Are we not guests also?. There were a couple of guests before us checking in, but they were placed upstairs while we had to walk to the back where another lift to go down to what i termed as basement floor. Even after that, other guests checking in when we walk past 5 pm time, were placed upstairs and we both felt very discriminated at this hotel. I am very unsatisfied with the hotel front desk treatment as i have travelled far to lots of countries in europe and never seen such an unjustified treatment on me. I was even trying to apologise to my girl fren about the room at the renovation floor ! I even purposely walk out along the corridor at 9 pm to see if we were alone, and there was quiet all over the floor. We had to double lock our doors to ease our worries. If it wasnt our first trip to zurich, i would not have tolerated all this. Now we know.

good welcome at the hotel (quick & efficient) needed to change the room as the heating control panel was out of service clean room not good quality bed
