The hotel overall is great but the rooms are always inconsistent in quality. I got room 500 this time - the release valve in the toilet was broken (when i checked in, there was water on the floor in the bathroom as the water in the WC kept running- looks like the cleaning person did not notice while cleaning- first alarm bell), the door handle from bathroom was broken (I got stuck on time - couldn’t open the door for a minute - never closed the door again), the duvet have definitely seen better days (when I entered the room the bed was looking like a mole found home in the duvet - pockets/clumps of material in some places and no isolation in other places - gives very inconsistent isolation in the night). The cleaning was inconsistent: one day I returned to the room and there was a pile of 15-20 towels on top of my clothes within my opened luggage - I moved the towels away (need access to my clothes) - but nobody picked the towels away in my all 4 days os the stay. One glass was cracked so I turned it 180deg to show as used and be replaced- instead i found it still there but switched the places as new and clean (exactly same crack, difficult to believe in a coincidence of getting 2 glasses 2 days in a row with exactly the same crack) . Nescaffe packets - always being forgotten - but this always the same. All rooms I stayed in this hotel in had imperfections but there were acceptable as always. This time i got a jackpot of a room.

The price was excellent and the staff very accommodating. We enjoyed talking with the restaurant/bar manager. Thank you, also for accommodating our two children and having the futon prepared for them. The thermostat did not work nor the refrigerator, and tho a technician was sent to the room, nothing was fixed. However, we were able to see all we wanted to see in the Zürich area and had the convenience of the tram right outside the door.

Additionally, our air conditioning system is actually a cooling unit, which was functioning properly during your stay. Room was way too warm, and even with AC on MAX was unable to bring temperature down to something reasonable. Bad night's rest!

Modern, renovated hotel where you still can open the windows. Still a bit chemical smell in the room from the renovation. Unfortunately, the cleaner weaks you up at 8 in the morning. Best you use the sign "please do not disturb". Strange that they have no system who has already left and who not.
