I would have appreciated a warm welcome when we arrived after a long day of travel. It was very abrupt. Maybe that's normal for Zurich though. We had two children sleeping on the pull-out sofa. It was nicely made up for us, but only had a single duvet. We called for another and the reception said that housekeeping was gone and nothing could be done. I thought that was odd and again abrupt and unhelpful -- not even apologetic. The bed was good. The shower was good.

As a privilege member, I was expecting much better service but was thoroughly disappointed. No welcome drink offered, bathroom didnt had body lotion, room service didnt clean the room properly; the litter was sitting on the side table, bed sheets werent changed they were simply tucked back in with the creases all over them, my laptop wasnt connecting to wifi via VPN so I called up the reception with the issue and there was no effort to try to assist in any way, it was a plain "No we cant do anything"...! Normally at other Novotels or other hotel chains I have been to globally there would be various other aminities toiletries, bathrobs, slippers etc. None of those could be seen here. Not impressed at all.

This time was definitely worse

They weren't very helpful with room selection. We stayed for two days and left a note on the door requesting room cleaning. When we returned in the evening, it hadn't been done. When I asked the reception about this, they said they could give us information the next day. They didn't offer any solution to make things easier.
