Pros: very clean hotel. The Spa has a nicely warm swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. Staff are exceptional. They went the extra step with making a fuss of our 2 year old. WIFI signal was strong. Bath took 1 minute to fill. Cons: £7.50 a pint. Seriously. The inclusive menu at the restaurant was very limited. If you pay for a 3 course meal in advanced you can't get a burger.

Lovely staff, a clean and comfortable room, and an overall fantastic stay. The team went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and everything was spotless throughout our visit. We had a very comfortable stay at Abbots Well. The staff were attentive and helpful and the rooms comfortable. We particularly appreciated the half board option as there didn’t seem to be a lot of dining options in the immediate area. We would happily choose to stay here again. There were two small issues that we had during our stay. The first was that the half board option only includes some of the items on the menu, not all of them (eg all of the burgers are excluded). While the staff were helpful, this was odd and I’m not certain we would have taken this option if we’d known. The second - and I acknowledge that we were staying during a pretty extreme heatwave - was that the hot water in our room took more than seven minutes to start flowing. I guess all the other guests were using it too. We did however appreciate the fans that were placed in each room.
