Smooth check-in, great member benefits, enjoyable F&B, and a prime location. Only suggestion is that maybe have a small card in the bathroom letting guests know what additional toiletries like dental kit or bath salt are available upon requests. Also, the sparkling wine was running out when I attend breakfast on 21st August morning around 10am, so it was slightly regrettable that no one comes to replace the empty bottle for the remaining half an hour before breakfast closes. Other than these two suggestions, a perfect stay. Special kudos to the ladies at Schönemann and Lily's Bar for letting me have a wonderful solo evening out.

We paid for breakfast, asked for breakfast boxes and unfortunately staff forgot about them. In return they returned us payment for breakfast but we still stayed hungry :( things like this shouldn’t happen in 5star Sofitel hotels especially to diamond all Accor members

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It’s definitely one of the very best in the Sofitel family in Europe. The rooms are very comfortable and in very good condition. Our Luxury room was very spacious and quiet. There was some confusion about the room categories when we checked in, because the photos on the hotel’s website do not match the actual rooms, but all was sorted out by Daniela at the front desk, who was very kind and helpful. She took all the time needed and really provided excellent service. Breakfast was delicious, plentiful and very well presented. The hotel’s location next to the opera can’t be beaten. Many of Frankfurt’s attractions and best shopping is within easy reach. The pool, which is shared with a nearby fitness club is huge, but the ambience is not very inviting, and since it is heavily used for competition and sports practice we felt out of place just wanting a quiet dip in the water. We were actually told by a fitness instructor, gesturing and shouting at us, to stay in a corner of the pool so not to distract the more professional swimmers. But the water was nice. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel. But even for Frankfurt, 44 euros per night for parking is too excessive.

Service was a 10/10– the staff was courteous, competent, and proactive when it came to anticipating and meeting needs. We were traveling for our anniversary (and I have a gluten allergy), so they gifted us a bottle of champagne, a bouquet of fresh flowers, some gluten free macarons, a martinis glass filled with various berries, and a really creative (and delicious) mousse-apple (it looked like an apple, but had a mousse-like texture, and it was filled with the yummiest apple pie filling ever). We had the junior suite, and it was wonderful! The bed was phenomenal— plush, but firm enough to give good support. We had dinner at the on-site restaurant. Staff was great, and food was very good. I have a gluten allergy, and they made sure that I had food that was both good and safe (they were able to modify most everything on the menu), and they even had this gluten free multi-seed, cranberry bread that was really tasty. Location was great— the surrounding neighborhood has plenty of shops and restaurants, and we felt very safe walking around, even at night. If you’re in the area, be sure to stop at Lolli Eis Cafe for some of the best ice cream we’ve ever had (seriously).
