Thank you very much for taking the time to leave a review. We apologize that the air conditioning did not work properly. We are currently experiencing issues with one of our air conditioning units and are waiting for replacement parts. Since the hotel was fully booked, we had to occupy all the rooms; additionally, the outside temperatures were such that you could have opened the window as an alternative. We checked the noise coming from the toilet, and it only occurs when the light is on; it isn’t audible in the room when the door is closed. Nevertheless, our technician will look into it. As an alternative to our paid underground parking spaces, there are plenty of free public parking spots around the hotel and at Dickhäuter Platz. Best regards from Ettlingen, Denise Schmiedinger

Very friendly & helpful staff, but air conditioning did not work properly, the WC lighting emitted a continuous high-pitched sound and the underground car park was rather expensive at 17 Euros.

Very nice as always. Colleagues there are so nice. Couple of things to ask though 1. Could you look at adding a weight bench to the Gym, plus a couple of kettle bells (neither of which would take up much space) 2. Fix access to the Kika channel please. Berndt das Brot sends me to sleep :)

I stayed at this hotel in Ettlingen for 11 days for work. There’s no fridge or slippers in the rooms. The air conditioning didn’t work for 3 days, and you can’t adjust the AC temperature from your own room. In 11 days, I only saw the sheets changed once — I couldn’t figure out how often cleaning actually happens. The floors are carpeted. The most annoying part, though: on the morning I was checking out, when I went for breakfast, a male kitchen staff member rudely told me that I kept walking past the bar (which I hadn’t) and that if I did it again I’d have to pay 5 euros, or something like that. I heard him swearing in German. I’ve never experienced anything like this before. I will definitely not be staying at this hotel again.

Thank you very much for taking the time to leave a review. The ibis Styles is a budget hotel and therefore does not have refrigerators or amenities in the rooms. It’s true that on Friday (July 4), we noticed that the air conditioning wasn’t working 100%, but since we were fully booked, it wouldn’t have been possible to change rooms. However, the outside temperatures that weekend were around 12–13 °C at night. You could have slept with the windows open, since our air conditioning can only be set to a maximum of 21 °C. The technician was on site on Monday and fixed the issue. We introduced an eco-friendly cleaning policy for guest rooms on June 15, 2026, and now change the bed linens only once a week. There is a notice about this in the room. Unfortunately, I can no longer verify whether you asked at the front desk if the bed linens could be changed sooner. We could have vacuumed your room every 3 days, for example, and a request made at the front desk would certainly have been forwarded to the housekeeper. Since the trash is emptied every day in the rooms and any towels lying on the floor are replaced as needed, vacuuming would not have been a problem. After consulting with the staff, it appears you walked through the service area behind the bar more than once. We’re sorry that you didn’t understand our employee’s joke when he said you’d have to pay 5 EUR next time. However, it is not true that he swore in German. We have stayed before and were then allowed to bring an expensive racing bike (10.000 euros) stored in a clean wrap to the room. This time were asked not to come back, because for insurance purposes, we would not leave it. Very unfriendly staff.

Thank you very much for taking the time to leave a review. Unfortunately, we can no longer verify whether you were allowed to bring your wrapped bicycle into your room last year; however, that is not our policy. Even if the bicycle is wrapped, it can still cause dirt in the room, and we have carpeted floors in all rooms and hallways. We’ve found that guests assume that if they spill something or stain the carpet, it will be taken care of during regular room cleaning, and they refuse to pay for special cleaning fees. For this reason, we prohibit bringing bicycles or similar items into the rooms. Our colleague offered you a secure, lockable room for your bicycle. You could also have used our underground parking garage and left the bicycle in your car. Furthermore, we didn’t say that you shouldn’t come back; rather, we’re allowing it this one time. It’s always better to discuss such matters with the hotel in advance, as a lot can change in a year. From a strictly legal standpoint, we would be entitled to refuse to allow such a valuable bicycle to be parked on our premises or taken into a guest room. won't choose or recommend you because of saying the hotell is air conditioned but then there are unacceptable and unknown restrictions in use of it. you should inform your guests before that you have resteictions of use of sircondition

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. The ACCOR brand standard specifies a default temperature of 26°C for the air conditioning. If you set the air conditioning to 21°C with the windows closed, the room will be pleasantly cool. Please understand that we have set this limit for environmental reasons. We do the same in winter when the heating is turned on. Unfortunately, we cannot specify the temperatures in the note on the ACCOR website regarding “individually adjustable heating and air conditioning.” Your room was on the east side of the hotel, which is the cooler side. Why didn’t you contact the front desk immediately after check-in? And why not later, since you stayed with us for two nights? Thank you very much for the praise for our breakfast staff. Thank you very much for your positive review. Kettles are not standard at ibis Styles, but you can always get hot water at the hotel bar or front desk. We serve the last drink at 11:00 PM, but you are welcome to stay at the bar afterward. Non-alcoholic beverages are available later as well, but only for cash payment.
