The mattress and pillow are uncomfortable. The mattress is misshapen, sagging significantly along the center line compared to the head and foot ends. Overall, they caused me neck and back pain. I contacted reception—who were very helpful—to complain about the lack of hot water; the solution was to leave the tap or shower running and wait. It worked, but the waste of water and energy must be enormous, as it took over 10 minutes. Beyond the energy and water waste, Accor should consider the health risks associated with Legionella proliferation, given that the water temperature was just below body temperature—meaning it was certainly above 25°C. Strongly recommended to check the relevant legal requirements and guidelines include DVGW 551 and DIN EN 806.

A great welcome by Roland was offered at this comfortable hotel quite near the Karlsruhe HBF. Secure parking. Perfect for an overnight stay for those who arrive or depart by train. My studio room was comfortable and full of light. The room was quiet.
