I did not make the effort to ask for a change of room but I should have as the room was really heavily smelling cigarette smoke

Was passing through Karlsruhe with my wife on a trip of German Christmas markets and spent the evening. Hotel was excellent for the train station and the trams / U bahn. Hotel staff were lovely and the room was spacious and clean. Just what we wanted and needed.

Hotel is strategically located, just next to the train and tram station. Friendly staff in the reception and in the bar. Easy check in. Hotel is nicely decorated of the Christmas season. Since the room is not carpeted maybe the hotel can prepare slipper in the room. And extra pillow is nice too.

Very good location, near the central train station and with a tram stop just in front of the hotel entrance. The rooms are quite spacious!
