Starting out with a check in that took almost 1 hour, where receptionist told us that as sold out we would be downgraded. Mentioning that she thinks the difference in room rate was 10 euros, whilst we had booked a Studio room . We had sent an e mail 4 days prior to arrival to ask for 2 extra pillows, this was also disregarded. Later we asked again for the 2 extra pillows, got the answer from another receptionist, that as fully booked, not possible to get extra pillows.. in addition the airconditioning was not working. When receptionist was informed , answer received.. fully booked , too bad . Nothing could be done . Both my wife as well as myself having worked in 4 and 5 star hotel ourselves , such behaviour is une]acceptable nor even for a bed and breakfast… we be had such reactions during our last 3 stays now. I guess as you were fully booked, you no longer need frequent clients ..this is the message your staff is clearly showing ..

Although the hotel was mostly empty we were put next to the train tracks and had to listen to announcements in our room all the time. The staff is also not friendly.

Back again last week for a 3-night stay and honestly? It just keeps getting better. Location is still a winner (so close to the Hbf), but this time the vibe was next level. Huge shoutout to the evening crew—the guys at the reception and the bar were absolutely 'aux petits soins' as we say in French. Super attentive, friendly, and just made us feel at home. Good drinks, clean rooms, great breakfast, nice energy. 4 days flew by. If you’re in Karlsruhe, this is the spot. We’ll definitely be back for a fourth round! Cheers to the night team! 🍻"
