Room clean, comfortable and a good size. Reception staff friendly and helpful. My experience was let down by my room (303) not locking automatically. It was only by coincidence that I noticed this. The reaction of the receptionist gave the impression that this is a known issue with the mechanisms. My lock was subsequently fixed but it was concerning as I might not have noticed the problem.

The mattress on one side was super skewed - probably someone really fat laid there and it did not recover. Apart from the lady on my arrival day(who was great and extremely hospitable), everyone else from the staff seemed to be lost. Breakfast - i was not marked in (even though I had it with reservation), the lady did not know what the speedy breakfast is and was somehow put of place. Then there was no one, so I rather skipped the next day then to create trouble. During the checkout the guy at the desk even wanted to charge me for breakfast i paid during booking. There just seems to be managerial chaos in the hotel. Staffing, training. The only thing that seems to work well is the cleaning - everything was cleaned well.

Regarding breakfast, the reservation conditions indicate whether breakfast is included in the rate booked. If it is not included, it can of course be added during the stay and will be charged at check-out. Should there ever be any doubt regarding what is included in a reservation, our reception team is always happy to clarify this and assist at any time. We also understand your comments regarding the breakfast service. At certain times, particularly during periods of higher occupancy, the hotel can be busier than usual, which may unfortunately result in some additional waiting time or pressure on the team. Nevertheless, we are sorry that this affected your experience, and we will take your comments regarding communication, coordination, and staff training into consideration. The sole purpose of this feedback is to give your establishment a formal and serious reprimand regarding a critical failure during our stay. We are not seeking any financial compensation, discounts, or refunds. However, we refuse to let the unacceptable treatment and complete lack of safety we experienced pass without consequences.Firstly, your decision to place a family with children on two completely different floors (2nd and 4th floor) is highly irresponsible. Separating a family in this manner caused immense fear, anxiety, and distress regarding our children’s safety throughout the night. It completely ruined our night's sleep.Secondly, the room distribution and quality were completely illogical. Room 208 (the parents' room) was equipped with a high-quality, built-in extra bed on the wall, yet you chose to use an uncomfortable, worn-out sofa bed for our youngest child in room 403. It appears the hotel knowingly compromised on a child's sleep quality rather than utilizing the facilities optimally. In addition, the parents' room was equipped with separate beds instead of a proper double bed.Thirdly, the refrigerator in the children's room did not work at all, making it impossible to store food and drinks for them as planned.Finally, the staff at the front desk showed a complete lack of service-mindedness and customer care. The reception felt mechanical, cold, and impersonal—as if we were dealing with a robot rather than hospitality professionals.As a paying family, we expect safety, basic comfort, and standard hospitality. This experience failed on all accounts. We expect you to take this feedback with the utmost seriousness and review your routines so that other families are not subjected to the same stressful and unprofessional treatment in the future. It's a lovely hotel at a very central and convenient location from where one can walk to almost everything that's interesting in Madrid. The staff is courteous and ready to help. Rooms have pretty much all you need for a comfortable stay and the breakfast buffet is decent offering a completely satisfactory variety without "excesses".
