The stay at the Sofitel Abu Dhabi Corniche was ok. The dissapointment was the club was closed and I was not advised prior to the booking.

I arrived very early, and despite having Platinum status and the hotel being nearly empty, I still had to wait until 10:00 a.m. for my room. That was disappointing. On the positive side, the beds are extremely comfortable, and the breakfast is the best in town. I upgraded to a very nice suite with a sea view. The room was spacious and well-sized, but it is beginning to show its age. Signs of wear and tear can be seen throughout the room. Club Millésime is currently closed, but the hotel provides an alternative service in the café. Overall, the stay was pleasant thanks to the comfortable accommodations, excellent breakfast, and beautiful sea-view suite, though the property would benefit from some refurbishment

I had to wait for 2-3 hours for things to reach my room. I had to call reception from my mobile because they were not answering from my room landline

Everything was amazing during our stay and we really felt like at home. Only thing I have as feedback is for poolbar menu. I think there should be some options as pizzas, chicken wings etc. suits to pool side. Because calamari and falafel is not for Gen Zs :)

Unfortunately, my recent stay was a noticeable step down from last year’s experience. The hotel appears to be undergoing renovation or layout changes, particularly around the reception area and Club Millesime. While I understand that improvements are necessary, the current setup greatly impacts the guest experience. The Club Lounge, typically positioned as a premium offering, has been temporarily reduced to a small section within the café for afternoon tea and part of the restaurant for other services. This setup felt far from the exclusive and comfortable lounge environment one would expect. I was already hesitant to proceed with my booking for my Eid vacation due to these concerns, particularly given the current situation in the Gulf. To seek clarification, I reached out via email twice prior to my stay, but unfortunately, I did not receive any response, which was disappointing and affected my confidence in the service. Additionally, as a Platinum member, I expected the usual recognition such as a welcome amenity, but none was provided. That said, I do appreciate the upgrade to a corner room, which was a positive aspect of the stay. Overall, while there are still some redeeming qualities, the current renovations and lack of communication significantly affected the overall experience. I hope the hotel restores its usual standards once the upgrades are complete.
