Another outstanding stay at the Novotel Auckland Airport, this time in Room 809 overlooking the airport runway. From a slick and welcoming checkin, to a service focussed restaurant to the room - best thing about the room was a walk in shower, previously we’ve had to use steps to climb into a bath to use the shower. Maybe OK in your twenties, but potentially an accident waiting to happen in your sixties. The room was clean and well maintained - good water pressure in the shower. Also very quiet, with no banging doors or sounds from adjoining rooms. Good to be allowed to take our bags to the room on an airport baggage trolley saving my back. Housekeeping was great at providing plates, cutlery and extra tea bags, but why do hotels, not just the Novotel ration every room to four tea bags and six punnets of milk? All in all a faultless stay with professional service.
