I used the Brussels to allow me to leave home in England at a civilised hour, use a less-busy Eurostar and then step off it straight into my hotel. Next morning, trains to all parts! Perfect!

The hotel was well located by the train station, we had a suite with a great view of Brussels. It had a great bathroom with lovely products. It is a little tired looking, and the floor and walls were marked. The area outside the hotel is a bit dirty and didn’t feel safe at night but an overall good experience.

Located fight next to the train station, and with direct access to it, the Pullman Brussels-Midi is the perfect base to explore Belgium. Very easy to hop on a train to visit cities like Ghant, Bruges, Leuven, or even Rottherdam in the Netherlands. Clean, comfortable rooms, very good breakfast.

The air conditioning wasn't as effective as I would have expected. Outside the hotel was a bit sketchy with people hanging about. A €50 deposit was thank from my credit card, which the front desk tried to say with a pre-authorisation, it was refunded on departure, but I've stayed in hotels all over Europe and found the demand for a deposit rather strange and unusual - a pre-authorisation would have been more acceptable. It was hard to get in and out of due to a very wide side on the bath. Other than that, it is very close to the station, the beds were comfortable, the bar was good.

room comfortable, breakfast ok, NOT happy with reception at check in. For the 2nd time at check in the receptionist tried to charge full rate when the booking had been made using some Accor points to reduce the cost. I had to show the booking on the App before she accepted and read further on the terminal that she was attempting to charge the wrong price. Only a poor attempt to apologise. Attitude was not good from the receptionist.

Really enjoyed my stay except there were lots of walking/stoping noise above my room 931 which were annoying until 9pm. Breakfast was expensive but the location helped us during our stay.

The thing with a hotel like yours is that everything should just ‘work’. Sadly the basics did not and so the stay was rather unsatisfactory.
