My room consisted of 2 small beds pushed together. One bed leaned to one side. The beds kept shifting and separating in the middle so I kept waking up in the middle of the night to push the beds back together.

The staff were outstanding. The interior design of the hotel was beautiful. The pools were fantastic. My reason for the rating is because of the “ picnic” basket. The food that we were given was terrible. Not at all at the standard of French luxury - carton orange juice, carton chocolate milk, carton water, a cheese and ham sandwich on inferior grade bread ( like what an airline would serve mid/ flight) a croissant and an apple. I love and admire French excellence which is why I am bringing this to your attention. The Sofitel is the top of the Accor brand and so I expected better. I recommend that for future customers you serve the following in your picnic - a bottle of fresh squeezed Orange juice, a croissant and pain au chocolat with a small pot of jam, a yogurt of high quality and a sandwich on French baguette of the superior quality that France is known for around the world ( and that the rest of the world envies). I am sorry to have to write this but I really feel that the French standard of excellence was not adhered to in this situation and that a 5 star French hotel can do better. Thank you for reading my feedback.

The staff were all very friendly and attentive. Our room was cleaned impeccably every day, with bottled water and coffee/tea bar being restocked. The breakfast buffet had a delicious selection with the option of indoor or outdoor seating. The rooftop patio, pool and restaurant - El Cielo - is truly an oasis. The location is ideal, and the service is top notch. We celebrated a special occasion during our stay and were DELIGHTED to be surprised by a cake, card and bottle of Cava. We wouldn’t have changed a thing about the care they take at the Sofitel Skipper, and we will definitely be back again when in beautiful Barcelona!

We had a very nice stay, hotel is very comfortable, staff are very professional, and the 2 restaurants are very good
It’s also quite close to a less crowded section of Barceloneta beach
The only issue would be its distance from downtown (about 10 minute Taxi or Uber ride)
As to the rooms the only negatives were not enough drawers and water leaking from the shower stall in the main bathroom area

rooms so small, you can barelly fit in room service cart inside, but cant walk around it, beds are nice, only 1 restaurant on offer in the evening, so not huge chice of food, but food was tasty. there was a leak in the shower into the WC area. a lot of troubles for 1 night
