I took the stay longer package. It must not be widely understood by many of your employees. It literally took several days of explaining over and over again how the package works. The restaurant was the worst at getting our two beverage daily allowance and the fresh fruit. Finally they got it down and stopped asking questions about the beverages and food discounts. Over all a pleasant 17 day stay. The hotel needs to consider several things in improvements. 1. The pool needs steps with handrails to enter the pool. Ladders are outdated and very difficult for a handicapped individual to enjoy the pool. 2. The swimming lessons need to go. I understand you need to make money off your pool, but the pool should be solely for guests. 3. The equipment in the fitness center is outdated as well. Many treadmills need to always be rebooted to work. 4. Better selection of food items are desperately needed. You need to have more western food items available and bring back the pizza oven and offer pizza. 5. You need a steam sauna like the other Novotel has in Chennai. 6. Your lobby is pathetic. You need more places to sit and entertain visitors. I stayed at the Royal Meridian, they have space to entertain guests and have short meetings, while offering coffee and tea to their guests. 7. The restaurant staff was not readily available. You need to assign each server an area to be responsible. 8. You need to bring back the coffee machine, offering self service. 9 The dishes and silverware need to be more thoroughly cleaned and washed. I personally saw 3 Indian guests drink from the glass water bottles and place it back on the table, then a sever after cleaning the table for new guests, took that same filthy bottle and poured it for the new guests at the table. This was uncalled for and disgusting. If you take note of the improvements mentioned, the hotel will be greatly improved, if not, like so many other hotels in Chennai, it will go down and the quality standards will go down with it as well. Some people need recognition. The young lady who was the pastry chef and now at the front desk. She is a very talented woman and should be promoted often. The young man cleaning my rooms in 1124 and 1123 needs a promotion, he will go far in his life. The older lady who swept the floor in and around the restaurant needs a raise and promotion. She always has a pleasant smile and works very hard daily. A very dedicated woman. Thanks to the entire staff. You made us fill welcome.

The room was good and the breakfast had a lot of options. However I was disappointed with the check in experience. We arrived with an infant and 3 to 4 luggage, but no warm welcome and no one assisted us to with taking the luggage to our room.

Bathroom kit is good, clean, and good. One suggestion: need to add a wall-mounted fan or table fan. The AC is the only thing running, so it's silent. The entertainment system also needs an upgrade, with Netflix and other OTT platforms required.
